I just saw that Alabama has EIGHTEEN guys they just signed enrolling early. That's freaking insane! LSU has 4.
Is Alabama helping guys workout paths to graduate early? If so, that's pretty damn brilliant.

I don’t know maybe they target kids that can do so. I have no idea.

We don't have anywhere near that number.

Yeah we do.
We have 4 currently practicing with the team. The other 14 are enrolling after the holidays.

SIAP elsewhere, but can you list the four currently practicing with the team and the other 14 that will enroll after the holidays? I’m way behind on my recruiting news and I’d like to catch up a bit.

Can someone help explain why incoming freshman are able to practice in December? Does it have anything to do with the end of the Fall semester? Very confusing since the University is on winter break.

As far as I know, LSU has one, Stingley.

For classes.. The schools are still open and operating until a few days prior to Christmas, as long as they are graduated from HS and enrolled, they are good.

See the 1st post in the Recruiting Megathread. Tyson, Quick, Metchie and Dale are already on campus and practicing.

How many EEs did Bama have last year?

Four. There's a link to the 2018 class breakdown in the 1st post of tMegathred.

Last year we only had 3 or so. The year before, Tuas class, we had 12 or so. I think it's cyclical for everyone.

Gotcha. I was wondering if 18 was just kind of a coincidence or if Saban and the staff were talking to recruits about trying to enroll early and made this part of the recruiting program. It's so advantageous for the kids and the program.

They may very well be telling them to do it if they can. But, I think probably one of the bigger things is that Saban tries to target "high I.Q." guys. I'm not saying other coaches don't, and probably a lot of them put just as much emphasis on it as he does. But, with the ability to get a very high percentage of the guys you're targeting, if you're targeting a lot of guys who are capable of graduating early, you get a lot of them.

A&M has 7:
Leal - DT
Cupp - TE
Brown - WR
Calzada - QB
White - LB
Orebo - LB
Davis - K
I'm really glad that Cupp, Leal, and White will be here in the spring, because I expect them to play next year.
