Good call on Hendrix. I knew JaMychal was in the teens. I didn't remember how high Wallace was, but he had real flaws in his game out of highschool. He was great, but I can't imagine him being top 10

Wallace was athletic as all get out. He still went first round after his freshman year (he hated CMG's guts). He came off the bench for the best NBA team to never win it.

The gap between Hendrix and T. Hansborough wasn't even funny.

I clearly remember somebody having him number 1 (he won the Naismith award too). But who it was, I don't know. Basketball recruiting coverage was pretty limited back then though. From just looking at rivals, they have commitments ranked going back to 2002, and I think he was a 2000 or 2001 player.
I do remember that it kind of came out of nowhere. Like he had a huge camp or something before his senior year.
Just googled it and came back with this: LINK

Wallace could have been a truly great player if he had received some actual coaching in college. That's the main reason he left. Why play for free if you aren't learning anything?

I agree but I get what Sandkhan is saying. He was the best athlete we've had since I've been watching Alabama basketball, but he was really raw for a number 1 recruit nationwide. Couldn't really shoot, didn't have a good enough handle to be a dominant guy going to the basket, etc. Just not skilled enough to be the top rated player.
I was just looking at some of rivals rankings to see how he compared to other top recruits and noticed that Josh Selby was the number one recruit in 2010, ahead of Kyrie Irving
And I don't even know who BJ Mullens is (2008 number 1), I guess I didn't pay much attention to Big 10 basketball that year.

BOL is heading over to cover. If BOL is going over, this is a very good sign

I havent heard but usually they dont go unless it's good news for us.
I know during football recruiting, that is there way of saying that they are confident he is signing with Bama.

Yeah I know. If the Texas guys aren't going I think that means they are conceding him to us. They wouldn't spend the money to get there unless they were confident in getting him.

Several of the good TI posters for great info are reporting: Pollard to Bama.
