I don't think he's a 1 and done. I'm thinking 2 years at the absolute minimum.
In terms of readiness for the NBA, I'd say 2 years based on what I have seen. He really needs to get in the weight room. NBA GMs couldn't give two shits about readiness though. It's all about potential and Pollard has a ton of it.

And they get their rankings from what they do in AAU, not high school for the most part. So Pollard is dominating AAU competition. Cooper is the only one who I've seen get a huge bump just from playing great your senior year of high school, and that was only for Rivals.
AAU ball is what is wrong with so many of these kids. For all Pollard's length and athleticism there are some white kids getting rebounds and putbacks over him. I'm just sayin

Pollard doesn't like to box out. That's the only negative I've seen tonight.
He has like 13 rebounds

The frick does that have to do with boxing out? Pure athleticism isn't going to win out when he plays good players.

Sounds like Tony Mitchell. Plays on sheer athleticism. No fundamentals. Get your butt beat when you play against real competition.

Did that one guy celebrating with Kemper County have an Alabama sweatshirt on?

Damn. I thought Pollard's mom was actually gonna drop some hints. He seems like a great kid and his mom seems like a good lady. He's going to be successful wherever he goes. I just hope it's to Bama.
KY has offered him but his mom did not mention KY. Are they still in it?

Not really I don't think. I mean he might visit them but I don't think it's too serious of interest. Pollard finished with 28 points, 10 boards, and 10 blocks.

He could step right in and play for the Tide. He looks like he could play the four or the three. He has a nice handle and he already plays defense. Surely his mother has to prefer CAG over Stansbury.

Dont see him stepping in and playing the 3 over the guys we have. Some of you were right though. He doesnt block out ever lol. He is good but at the college level it will take time. His whole offensive game is out of control. He wont be able to go full court like that wihtout getting the ball stole at a D1 college. Never saw anyone get that many blocks though. That white kid played well too.

No way this kid is one and done. He may leave but he will be a second round pic at best and then he will need a couple years to see the court at the NBA level. Very athletic but showed nothing outside of being a athlete tonight.

He will start at State from day 1 and that's what our staff is selling him on. Moultrie is going pro and he will come in and start for us as a Freshman. He also has 2 AAU teammates who have signed with us as well who are working on him.

Well Aaron Ross is going to Texas Tech. Picked them over Ark and Bama

He knows that Knight retired, right?

Fwiw, he wouldn't be able to get into an SEC school therefore we didn't re-offer him. If he could get in, he would commit to Arkansas basically on the spot.

Him committing to Texas Tech over Alabama and the team he had previously committed to sounded kind of odd.

Does Bama have any BBall commits yet?
What are some other guys are they going after hard besides Pollard?
