Found this video of Shannon Hales team. He is number 23. I know with our lack of size that he will play the 2 more than likely but he looks like a 3 the way he runs the floor and his shooting ability. Fits us perfectly though RTR.

if we get Pollard and he's a one and done.
Not based on what I saw in his game Saturday. He is very skinny and was pushed around a lot in his game. He really needs to hit the weight room.
I see him as a 2 or 3 year player. Look at Johnny o'bryant at LSU he is bigger and Stronger than POllard but he will be at LSU til his Jr year.

Comparing apples and oranges. I believe both will have to sit out a year or two but the kid from LSU is bigger and more skilled on offense. Pollard is a athletic defender. Would love to him though.

Eblen is the other next year senior. Him, Steele, and Mitchell.
Is it too soon to wonder about 2014?

I always forget about Eblen.
So we have 4 scholarships to give out over the next 2 years, and the only two we will miss are Green and Steele. We need to get a solid PG in 2013. Hopefully the staff can get Sina back on board.

I've spent the whole year thinking Eblen was a sophomore for some reason.

In no universe will Shannon Hale be a 2 for us or anyone. He's going to be a big 3 or more than likely a 4.

Lol, i'm thinking he meant 4. I hope

Hale is def. a 4.
Yeah, I forget about Eblen too sometimes. Time flies.

Bama has a redshirt PG from europe. Bama needs some 4s and 5s who are legitimate threats to post up and score.

We don't even know if Retin is the ideal pt. He strikes me as a combo guard and heir apparent to Eblen's role.
Bama needs a shooter and a PF in this class, that's it. Next class will hopefully have Taylor at the 5, a top pg, and a PF. Juggling all the numbers gets tricky.

Yea Miss St. is in trouble. All of those upper classman they have and they play terribly. I dont know how that man has his job.
Ill give you Sidney, but Dee Bost and Arnett Moultrie are FAR from terrible players. Moultrie is projected as a 1st round draft pick. Bost is the all time assist leader in Mississippi State history.
Also from some Kemper county folks sitting by me in the stands most say they figure he will go to State because he is a Mama's boy and wants to be close to home (45 minutes away)

The thing about Eblen is this though, you can't shite on him with one breath and then shite on Tony Mitchell in the next. You have to pick one of those guys to shite on, because they are exact opposites. Tony has all the talent in the world and is just an a-hole. Ben doesn't have all the talent in the world, but he works his arse off and tries. I know it's frustrating and comical to see him with the ball in his hand, but he never takes a second off and ends up playing minutes for us. I've always had an appreciation for his effort, but I still don't see why if Carl and others can make strides offensively why Eblen still looks so spastic with the ball in his hands

Not much farther to Tuscaloosa at all. But I think he ends up at State, but not for location reasons. I don't know too much about DeKalb. I know Meridian is a Bama town and Philadelphia is a State town and it's close to both of those. I'm guessing it's probably a State town

Carl still looks terrible with the ball in his hands. He has just started to figure out how to contribute in other ways. He is actually getting pretty good at setting screens and opening lanes for the guards. He is slowly figuring out how to rebound too. I think he will actually end up being a pretty solid contributor next year if he continues improving.

Come on man you know I meant the 4

I agree. I saw Carl in person early on last year when everyone was still high on just having a 7 foot swedish guy and I was like "that motherfricker will never be coordinated enough to play basketball. Then, everyone was down on him early this year and I saw him and immediately thought he'd made a huge leap. Still not an offensive threat and barely more than a lane clogger defensively, but still MUCH better than last year. I have hope for him. He isn't nearly as awkward

I think it syas a lot that Carl gets more PT than Gueye who is far more skilled than Carl. Would love to just see him get under control on the offensive end and learn to dunk and make layups but we may not never see it. Anyway I love his effort and he alters shots. Never wouldve thought he would make a contribution.

Never said they were terrible. I said the play terrible. I know that they are good because they ate us up last time. With those 3 guys there is no way they should had lost to us. Thats what I meant.

Disagree with you on both. From the video ive seen from Retin he is defenitley legit. I think I might have something to do with the language barrier or something. The PG has to be more vocal than the big man and if he played this year it wouldve been a waste. Also I think that we have the shooters they just have to take the shots. It seems as though they are just now getting comfortable on this level and are starting to play like they played in high school. I dont know if we need a PF or not I just know we need bigs.
