A&M adds a handful of portal pieces

12/22 - DB De'Rickey Wright from Vanderbilt
2023: 46 Tackles, 2 FF, 1 FR, 2 INT, 3 PD
12/19 - 3* TE Garrett Miller from Purdue
2023: 30 Rec, 243 Yards, 2 TD
12/18 - 3* S Trey Jones from Central Michigan
2023: 66 Tackles, 1 FF, 1 INT, 2 PD
12/17 - 4* WR Cyrus Allen from La Tech
2023: 46 Red, 778 Yards, 4 TD
12/16 - 3* LB Alex Howard from Youngstown St
2023: 67 Tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 1 INT, 1 PD
12/11 - 3* WR Javon Harvey from Old Dominion
2023: 29 Rec, 391 Yards, 4 TDs (only 7 games due in injury)
12/10 - 4* CB Will Lee from Kansas St
2023: 42 Tackles, 1 FF, 1 FR, 2 INT, 6 PD
Mostly just depth, but Trey Jones is a 2 time All Mac safety that had interest from other big programs like UGA. He should slot in nicely as a box safety with Richardson going pro. Its nice to add some physically mature bodies to help supplement the turnover.
The next potential portal commit is looking like CB Jermod McCoy from Ore St.

Upvote. Hew, it sucks to have to build yourself up but it can be interesting to build yourself up.
It doesn't feel like this is the coach and staff to get you there but it's a good placeholder.

Based on the feedback on X he seems to be putting in work with them.
I don't think we've added anyone that is truly going to move the needle yet, but grown-arse 22-23 year olds to build out depth aint the worst thing in the world.

Ags add De'Rickey Wright from Vandy. 3-year starter in the SEC. 3rd Team All-SEC (Steele), 11th PFF coverage grade for SEC safeties. Not too shabby.
