We needed him, but we need him now. My understanding is that he does not qualify.

Speaking from our end, we weren’t a name early, but after early signing day we definitely became one and getting him on campus was huge. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we negatively recruited him with all the top end receivers who have gone to Auburn only to transfer elsewhere.
Definitely a surprise flip, but those are often times the quiet ones because if Auburn knew earlier they would have been able to negatively recruit us back.

That’s because he didn’t want any of their players. If there were any he wanted he’d be all over them.

Not sure how this is relevant considering it is unknown if he qualifies or not. Wasn't UT in a similar position last year with JJ Peterson?

We were told that Pickens needed to raise his GPA by .8 his final semester to qualify, JJ just had to retake a math course.

he makes nick marshall look like a rhodes scholar. It will absolutely be tough. and it wouldnt be a wasted one. if you get him in its huge, if not, you have an extra for next year early period.

I don't think anyone claims that UGA is selective academically when it comes to football players.

Pointing out facts is not negative recruiting. I am sure every school on the trail has pointed out to recruits that UGA did not work out for Justin Fields. That is not negative recruiting. It is a fact.
