He says 50/50 between AU and UGA in that article.

ALL DAWG

It's actually as accurate as saying he has decommitted.

Ain’t that the truth. The Onion has more honest headlines than this thread.

Watch the interview.

“Still committed to UGA”

“I like that a school is close to home so my family can come see me and me/them” (paraphrased)

Auburn OL Coach is only reason they are in this right now and Broderick Jones says he needs to see Coach Matt Luke face to face to get a sense of him other than just talking on the phone. If CML passes that in-person audition, UGA will keep Jones.

Well this is just patently false. Our OL coach is a decent fundamentals guy, but doesn’t relate well to recruits while wearing his depends. Brod sees the opportunity to play immediately for us.

UGA does have a stacked OL but both the Dawgs starting OTs (Andrew Thomas/Isaiah Wilson) are sitting out the Sugar Bowl and turning pro. There are opportunities in Athens as well.

Well if that doesn’t settle it I don’t know what does

Obviously it doesn't settle anything...but it is as compelling as the OP saying he has decommitted, when he clearly has not.

He might. but he hasn't.

I mean yeah he shouldn’t have said that but I get his point.

Any commit that’s openly shopping around and making an announcement (don’t know if Broderick is or not) should not be considered a commit IMO.

His point was to troll Georgia fans. To deny that is silly.

Is Auburn in it? I would say based on his article....yes. I mean, Auburn is getting desperate for OT help. The portal and GTs are not a very good solution. Players are in the portal because they can't crack the lineup at their current school. GTs, as a whole haven't played a whole lot and are bandaids for a year. Auburn can offer immediate playing time. That alone should get them consideration.

But lets not act like his "point" was anything other than to troll.

Jones is not actively shopping around and he has announced he is committed to Georgia. He has always stated he would sign in February.

Jones is as much a commitment as Jay Hardy is. Can they sign somewhere else? yes. Have they committed to a school? Yes. Should other schools continue to try to flip them and get them to their school? Yes.

Both our starting OT’’s declared for the draft. Matt Luke’s coaching strategy is having leaner, mobile linemen. Jones can start immediately or at the least crack the 2 deep.

It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Since Jones first committed to Georgia the OL coaches at both UGA and Auburn have left. UT is the only one with the same position coach since he committed nearly 2 years ago to Georgia.

UT is getting in the game fairly late though. He recently said is 50/50 with auburn and UGA. Doesn’t leave much room for the vols.
