One player that comes to mind is Henry Ruggs. Had 600 receiving yards in High school but had elite measurable (similar to Meadows) and ends up being a stud at bama and 1st rd draft pick….
I’ll take the talent evaluators who do this for a living and the college coaches over just about any fan in being able to identify talent

He also ran the ball a lot and returned kicks. Was pretty obvious he was the best player on the field even if he didn’t have great stats at his position he was being recruited for.

Meadows really is a head scratcher. He is wanted by a ton of big time schools but every time I saw them play, he was the 2nd or 3rd target on most plays. It’s like colleges like him more than his high school team does.

It’s like LSU and Bama like him more than his high school team

Michigan recruited him to get Bryce Underwood. Now they have Bryce Underwood….

Looks like he no-showed LSU for today's game.

Interesting.

I honestly don't think he will ever start at whatever school he goes to. He's just not tough and underwhelms on film.

One 100 yard receiving game in his high school career. No way that guy should be a 5 star, sorry I don’t see it. Production has to mean something. Bump this thread in a couple years and see who is right or wrong.

He plays on a team that never passes. Less than 150 total attempts on the season. Had a 100 yard playoff game the other night, though. He's probably going to take a year (or more) before he gets much PT, but I love the upside. And Sheppard is one of the best in all of football at developing WRs.

I just think it’s interesting that you suddenly became so passionate about this subject After he decommitted from LSU

We've already got a guy like that.

I hope we cut bait and get the best WR out the portal.

In other words, he is gonna get paid to sign and then bounce in the portal a year from now.
