Malzahn's seat is fine until it is not. If Malzahn does not equal his 2017 success, then the fan perception can affect a 18 year old's faith that his coaching staff will still be there long term.

Question for you...Malzahn loses 4 games in 2017 and he gets a 7 year extension.
What happens if 2018 has 5 losses for Auburn (one to Bama and one to UGA). Is Auburn happy with Malzahn? That would be 24 losses in 5 years. How much time is enough time?
