It just means they are usually smart kids with enough credits to graduate a year early. More and more kids have been doing this lately. Makes since as most of them have been held back a year so they could be e a 6'2 7th grader.

Your coach is in over his head. Good coach but not ready for the big show. Never had to recruit the amount of talent it takes to compete in the SEC. We are so blessed to be in the best conference ever for college SPORTS.
