That’s A&M’s 5th 5-Star player and 10th in the top 61 overall.

A&M's class is unreal. If Elko can't win a title in the next few years then I'm not sure if A&M can win one ever again.

I feel like I’m having Déjà vu from when aggy signed that star studded class a few years back. That one didn’t go well. We’ll see what happens with this one with so many big name guys in one class.

It’s a coach thing, Saban did it year after year and managed just fine

Jimbo couldn’t hold it together

I’m hoping Elko can deliver

Trying to sign and retain so many highly ranked players was much easier for Saban pre portal and NIL. A lot of these kids are leaving after 1-2 years if they aren’t playing or offered more money somewhere else. I’m fascinated to see how this plays out. It’s truly boom or bust.

I don’t know, Ohio state and Texas both dropped 40 million on rosters for each of the last 2 years

It was boom for one and bust for the other

Getting all the players is one thing but you need the right coaches, you need to avoid injuries and you still have to play the games where anything can happen

Bama had a massive talent edge and yes they won plenty but the didn’t win them all

I don’t think I’d see the day where we have 3 of the top 4 and potentially 5 of the top 7 in the state of Florida and both Florida and Florida State can’t get a recruit in the top 10,

Jimbo was a lazy star chaser. In hindsight a lot of people knew that quite a few of those kids were going to be issues - especially with the cultural that Jimbo created. I think (and hope) that Elko has an entirely different culture. But the proof is in the perfromance. we shall see.

That class was almost all on the DL, and there wasn't enough positions for them to play. This class doesn't have that issue

Yeah….the culture now is a little different. You can see it on the field. Jimbo was chasing stars and did not care about character or development.

Jimbo ? Elko.

Not even in the same universe, as far as player development.

Miami and ND fans are pissed. They're calling Elko a fat frick and potbelly.

Then you would be totally wrong. This class is far superior to the 2022 class because it is balanced and has really good players at all positions.

Jimbo's 2022 class was way overloaded with more highly rated DL's than any team could hope to retain.

Plus Elko is doing a much better job at team discipline.

Jimbo then pulled the genius move of hiring DJ Durkin and switching to a 3-3-5 scheme.

This is how you draw the distinction between Elko and Jimbo.
