Orgeron has a decent track record of getting Louisiana guys he’s zeroed in on back in the boat after a decommit (i.e., Stingley, Divinity, etc.) Obviously, it’s never good to have a kid you really want decommit and you have to like it if you’re A&M.

That said, if this was a Miles program, I’d have written him off immediately. With Orgeron, I’ll wait and see with the feeling that we have a little catching up to do.

I'm sure he's telling folks on both sides things they like to hear, but what he's telling neutral parties here in LA are all pointing to positive things on him joining back on with LSU ultimately which shouldn't be too surprising, again, Sting, Roy...same path. Get those fun visits in while you can get the attention. Anything can happen but it doesn't sound like a guy trending to A&M or anything.

Optimism continues to build at A&M. Some talk that we might even get a commitment from Jacoby soon.

Fact or Fiction A&M is the leader for Harold Perkins

quote:

2. Harold Perkins said this week, "Everyone thinks (Texas A&M) is the team to beat." That's because the Aggies are the leader.

Gorney’s take: FACT. He wore LSU shorts to a recent workout that Rivals attended. He has talked highly of the Tigers, of Texas, of Florida and others. But most signs point to Harold Perkins playing at Texas A&M from his relationships with that coaching staff, to how much interest he has shown the Aggies throughout his recruitment to the fact he’s headed back to College Station for their event to close out the summer. LSU is intriguing but my best guess is that A&M leads here and I don’t see that changing.

Spiegelman’s take: FACT. Perkins doesn't say much or show his hand too often, but it's certainly clear that he's keen on playing in the SEC next year. Whether that's at Texas A&M, LSU, Florida or wherever -- that remains to be seen -- but Perkins openly spoke of the SEC being the best conference recently and even added that he's intrigued by Texas joining the conference. Right now, the Aggies are in Texas and in the SEC and Perkins will be back there this weekend. It is my understanding that LSU, Texas, USC, Florida, Oregon and even Miami remain in play heading into a big stretch of visits for games this fall and I like where Texas A&M sits.

So you quoted a article with opinions from others not Perkins. Here’s a real fact, Perkins is LSU right now and it would take a bad season for us to change that. FACT!

Whatever makes you feel better. Speiegelman is supposed to be the LSU Insider guy, right?

He is no insider. There are plenty of real insiders that say LSU right now though. I guess you just can’t believe a Louisiana boy would wanna come back home a play for his home state though.

Okay thanks for the update. I was just pointing out that a neutral party in Louisiana just seems like a ridiculous thing to say on its face given LSU is the only major university in the state.

Neutral source in Houston would make sense.

Are these the same insiders that were predicting that 5 for 5 several years ago?

No they’re not, and congrats on bringing things up that happened almost a decade ago.
