Great, I'm just glad the staff realized what Haywood and his family were doing and basically told him "Good luck, we wish you the best" and let him go. He was trying to leverage Alabama for a lot more money and the staff decided his asking price was just too high for what they thought they were getting. Michigan on the other hand, is going all in and just handing out blank checks to try to get back to relevancy. Their billionaire alum has publicly said as much.

It's now a big investment, no doubt. The teams that successfully navigate this NIL world will be the ones who figure out the right players to pay and the ones not to pay. But there will be a lot holding the bag on busted investments.
It will be similar to the NFL draft and a team drafting a top pick, paying him huge money, only for him to be a bust.
