Last significant recruit we got from the state of Alabama was Ben Jones and his family was from Georgia and he was raised a Dawg fan
Do you even Monty Rice, bro?

I know it happens but I can't remember any player being ranked anywhere close to Webb that UGA has pulled in the last 10 years. Hell, the last player I remember them even getting from Alabama was Ben Jones.
My reference was not to UGA in specific but overall with teams that are contending. FSU, CU, and now UGA.

Most states good players play for the homeschool. Georgia is a little more transient than most states because of the nature of Atlanta and the amount of schools near the border of the state. Most kids that are good that leave the state are typically places like Maryland or North Carolina where the state school isn’t very appealing.

Yeah, rice is so common over here I hardly think of it.
But did you guys even want him?
Doubt it.
And that's what we're really talking about here. Pulling guys you really want. Doesn't happen often. I'm not even sure you wanted Ben.
BTW, you've got three GA commits right now.

I guarantee that Richt beat Saban head to head for more top UGA kids every year that Saban really wanted. Yes we get a few but have lost out on far more.

Webb is picking Georgia.
Tim Watts just CB'd him to UGA and said Sam Pittman will attend today's announcement.
Nice pickup Dawgs.

I'm pretty sure you've signed some good Georgia kids since then.
Probably, but very few. he's right. Alabama really doesn't recruit a ton in Georgia. Every once in a while. They pretty much lock up most of Alabama, a couple from Louisiana and then go national. very similar, actually to what we are beginning to do.

Florida and the DMV are important too.

DMV?
I didn't realize you guys went to Florida that much, but it makes sense when you think about it.

D.C, Maryland, and northern Virginia
A massive amount of talent and a very fast growing alumni base in the region.

The DMV recruiting grounds are way underrated. Lots of talent in that Metro area. Locksley will do well there he’s connected
