It's Wilfong. He's usually money. It's not like it was the Utah St writer that put it in.

I only speak for the people.

I don't think Wiltfong is anything special as a CBer. He's wrong more frequently than it appears because he just changes his picks when it starts looking like he might be wrong. He's admitted it. He's said himself that he'll make picks based on buzz he's heard, knowing he's fairly likely to change them later. He also places late easy picks when there's a commit who's about to go public.

Fair enough. I just can't remember when he was wrong about a UGA pick though.

You really think this guys going to study to become an engineer while playing football?

He has a 4.5 gpa. Pretty sure he's smart enough to get it done.

Does Georgia have engineering?
Posted on 9/28/18 at 8:57 pm to CapstoneGrad06
We added it a few years ago. Not sure which ones we offer though.

I graduated from Alabama’s civil engineering program. I’m partial to it.
The engineering dean is active in recruiting for Alabama. It’s won over a few for Saban and the program.

Can't say I blame you.

That's pretty cool.

I don't care how smart he is. Any one of the schools he's considering he's not going to have the time.

It's been done before. I'm sure others can do it as well.

Nakobe flirted with Stanford early in the year.

Josh Dobbs did it. He's the most recent example I can think of.
I remember when we were recruiting K'Lavon Chaisson there was a lot of talk about him wanting to major in petroleum engineering. It was supposedly very important to him.
This conversation made me remember that and I decided to look up his major...Sports Administration.

Alabama has a very weak engineering program. Auburn is much stronger. If the kid really wants to play football and go to a top notch engineering school he would go to Georgia Tech. I think we all know engineering is not the main reason he is going to college though.

Alabama has a very good engineering program. Millions invested over the last 5-10 years.

This is kind of what I'm getting at. They say these things and have these plans and the coaches use it as tools but usually they get on campus see that it's basically a job and not really feasible. The coaches actually end up pushing them away from it once they get on campus.

No they don't. It isn't respected in any engineering metric. Good people though. I know two UA civil grads. The alumni base for UA in Birmingham and Atlanta is almost zero.

Yeah. I think you're exactly right.

Do you actually have an engineering degree?
