Pulled this from a random compliance page:
Seemingly if they are not buying the tickets from the school, then they are fine purchasing at secondary market rates, which inherently can be more or less than face value. I think the odds are strong that there will be some $1 and $5 game tickets available for the right families.
quote:
COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSIONS
During an official or unofficial visit the institution may provide a prospective student-athlete a maximum of three (3) complimentary admissions to a home athletics event at any facility within a 30-mile radius of the institution's main campus in which the institution's intercollegiate team practices or competes
These complimentary admissions may only be used by the prospect and those persons accompanying the prospect on the visit
The complimentary admissions must be issued through a pass list on an individual game basis.
The complimentary admissions may provide seating only in the general seating area of the facility utilized for conducting the event.
An institution may reserve tickets, only for the use of immediate family members accompanying a prospect during an official visit and for seat locations adjacent to the complimentary seats being provided to the prospect. These tickets must be purchased at face value.
Providing seating during the conduct of the event (including intermission) for the prospect or those persons accompanying the prospect in the facility's press box, special seating box(es) or bench area is specifically prohibited.
A member institution may not provide complimentary admissions to a prospect for a postseason conference tournament. The prospect may purchase tickets only in the same manner as any other member of the general public.
The provision of complimentary or reduced-cost admissions to prospects for an NCAA championship (all rounds) or other postseason contests (e.g., bowl game, NAIA or NIT championship) constitutes excessive entertainment and is prohibited. The prospect may purchase these tickets only in the same manner as any other member of the general public.

It appears that would violate NCAA Bylaws:

It appears the specific tickets they buy must be available to the general public at the price they pay for them when they purchase them. LSU's compliance office should probably be extra careful to ensure NCAA Bylaws pertaining to recruiting aren't being violated, since their football recruiting will soon be undergoing an extensive investigation.

Secondary market is also "the same manner as any other member of the general public". And secondary market prices are inherently not regulated.

Wow. Who knew?
Another widely known fact: CFB recruiting is regulated -- by the NCAA, along with college compliance offices.

You know the IARP doesn't investigate right? They use the information provided by the NCAA. The same info they already have. It's just a judge/jury counsel. Nothing that happens now is under their purview.

Do you believe that after the NCAA hands a school's recruiting rules violations case over to IARP to determine the punishment and probation, the NCAA will then choose to just ignore all of that school's ongoing recruiting activities?

ETA: I know what your saying. I should'nt have use the word "investigators" regarding the IARP's role in infractions cases. They only adjudicate them.

You clearly have no idea what's going on and why the NCAA sent the case to the IARP.

Ok, so inform me. Why did the NCAA send it to the IARP?
I'll wait.

You're the one who wouldn't even answer my question. You didn't like it so you dodged it. There's plenty of info available for me to read about the topic. Tbh, I'm just not interested at all in what you think or say about it.
