Please show me where I am upset in this thread or any regarding Webb or any recruit.
And for the record this thread was started by a UGA fan excited about Webb from some click bait. It was no to point out but to gloat and troll nothing more and when he was called out about it by multiple fan bases, not just UA, it caused other little puppies to get upset.
I only responded to the part about Wiltfong and said he is clueless not directly about Webb. One of your puppies came back at me because I would not give him the validity he was seeking for his thread and I then stated, like I have on our boards, that I could care less about Webb and would rather have Neal and/or Wright.
So when you make blanket statement about y'all make sure you are looking in the mirror because I was not nor am I now upset. I actually think this is hilarious how easily some of Y'ALL get so upset.

You said "let them have their moment". Clearly you were annoyed w/ Wilfong's CB of Webb to Georgia and you felt the need to knock it down. I am sure everytime Wilfong CB's a top-flight player to Bama you like it and tend to believe it.
As to Bama-nation as a whole, regardless of Natty outcome, I have noticed they are increasingly downplaying recruiting now that they have an equal rival w/ Kirby and UGA. With all those consecutive #1 classes, it was a great-great thing. Now that UGA is recruiting at a similiar and/or maybe slightly higher level, its an annoyance to the Bama fanbase - thus the need to cast it all through the prism of last year's Natty or the last 10 years (where Kirby was at Bama).
As to Bama-nation as a whole, regardless of Natty outcome, I have noticed they are increasingly downplaying recruiting now that they have an equal rival w/ Kirby and UGA. With all those consecutive #1 classes, it was a great-great thing. Now that UGA is recruiting at a similiar and/or maybe slightly higher level, its an annoyance to the Bama fanbase - thus the need to cast it all through the prism of last year's Natty or the last 10 years (where Kirby was at Bama).

Try doing something for a decade and NOT become complacent about it. I haven't bitched once in this thread, but I've got recruiting fatigue. I had to be begged to start our recruiting thread this year and I used to be all about it. After awhile it gets old.
ETA: It's not just us Alabama fans either. TTsTowel used to follow Auburn recruiting religiously and now he hardly posts about it. Memphisplaya for LSU comes to mind, as does that moron Buga. It happens.

it's only natural that the teams that recruit better are going to enjoy the subject more. Bama is still elite recruiting but Saban did just overhaul his staff again to get better/younger recruiters in. Recruiting can be a slog because it is never-ending and once the hay is in the barn for one class, the next is upcoming.
UGA still has to convert recruiting success to on-field success. No GEORGIA fan, including myself, says we are Bama-level yet. Through 4-weeks, I think there is a bigger gap right now between Bama/UGA than there was last year with the 2018 teams. We are in Year#3 and Saban built his dynasty so that it will not easily be toppled.
Nevertheless, recruiting success generally comes before on-field success and UGA has gone from a Top 20 team to a "Top 4" program alongside Ohio State and Clemson - YES, I think we are even w/ those two programs now.
Kirby, McGee, Pittman, Coley and Schuman are ACE recruiters and if Kirby can keep the staff together for a few more years, we are likely to pull even w/ Bama. Saban is the Jedi-Master but his protege' is catching up and it is starting w/ recruiting.

Btw, this fan is not upset and knows that Bama loses many recruits every year that it would like to have, though it usually gets most of what it wants in state, but not all. And we may not get Webb. Bama has rarely done well in the state of Georgia, with the occasional exception. Since 2012 it has done much better in Florida, Texas, especially Louisiana and DMV than Georgia. In fact, it is doing better this year in Georgia by far than any year since 2012, assuming they keep everyone currently committed. Don't know how much UGA wanted any of them, though 2 of them look great on tape.

it's easy to be a BAMA fan and say "we don't care about recruiting" now - those 5 natty's were built on #1 recruiting classes. As great as Saban is, he is fairly honest that having the best talent is the #1 factor in winning - not the only factor - but the #1 factor.
Miss out on two natty's in a row, and Bama fans will suddenly care about recruiting again. Until then, I don't expect the Bama takes to change and sobeit.

UGA fans seem to assume when they get upset for some reason. But I understand you may have a hard time with reading comprehension. Because I was referring to DavidRicky's post about Wiltfong regarding Crouch and Wright.
