I never thought I would see us pull this much talent from outside of the East Texas to Mississippi area.

This was expected, making room for bigger fish.

Do you know who you are looking at to replace him? (Bigger fish?)

Maason Smith for sure is one.

Most fans are quasi-hopeful for Tristan Leigh and Korey Foreman, but I could easily see us going 0-2 on those.

But numbers wise, this decommitment and the one yesterday had to happen.

Last year we lost Major Burns to UGA for playing these games with recruits. Gotta risk it for the biscuit I guess.

I got you. When I saw the other poster say that, I thought he meant another OLB.

I am very pleased we got Major Burns. I have heard nothing but good things about him. But yeah. You are right. Some times you win and sometimes you lose.

LSU is sure showing that they are a solid stable program and that their coach will be there for a long time. Surely the recruits will flock to them...

Talking about bigger fish is pretty arrogant and disrespectful to the kid and it's not totally accurate.

The main "big fish" we're after are Foreman, Leigh and Smith. We already had enough spots for these three guys.

What's happened, though, is we've had to reprioritize some positional needs. We had like 5 WDE/OLB committed and only 1 OL, 1 CB and 1 RB. We're definitely looking to add another corner and a few more OL, and we could probably use another running back as well.

I wouldn't necessarily call any of the guys we're looking at for those spots "bigger fish" than Brown. They're just fish that fit our needs better.
