I was told he committed to Freeze last weekend. But said he had to go to FSU out of respect for their staff. I figured that was just the visit 'bump' but must have been something to it.
Same person also told me that we were neck and neck for Tunsil with UGA leading. Said his official would determine if we got him or not. I was skeptical but apparently we made up alot ground. I still think UGA gets him though.
Wish we could get both but definitely happy with either.

He's not as much of a slam dunk as you think.

I do somewhat
TBH I have a pretty good idea for most of Bama's remaining spots except the Tunsil/Poggi/Vanderdoes last spot Bama seems to be trying to figure out

Yeah, you're pretty damn retarded. No need for you to point it out.

This really deserves a thread to be honest and im not trolling but isnt it a little bit pathetic (although bama is top 3-5 on basically every recruiting list) that saban is having trouble and fighting with Hugh MFin Freeze pulling in these big time names mainly the top position players?
ETA: i dont need someone to tell me CHF can recruit with the best of them cause i know this. But you would think 3 out of 4 would sell itself. At least with the very top of the class.

I honestly also think Freeze is seriously taking advantage of the SEC landscape with the 25 rule in the SEC making some coaches limit spots
Recruiting has 3 parts and its not just about signing a bunch of 5 stars, although that's a part of it, you have to make the correct evals on kids in terms of how they fit and then develop. Tommy Tubberville was really good at AU for a long time of evaling and regardless of star ranking he developed it into great talent. Fulmer at UT was a great example of bad evals and signing a bunch of high profile ranked recruits and not developing them. It takes all 3 parts a 5* top WR was just as much an impact guy as a 3* LB from Tenn who's only other offer was from Vandy in Bama's 08 class
