Winner of The Opening Nike Sparq rating contest, Wesley Steiner commits to Auburn.
Not one of the more involved commitment video drops but he's pretty damn excited for sure. Good grab Tigers.
Watching the commitment video did help clarify why #WDE was in this tweet about his commitment... I was sitting there reading it and trying to figure out why a 220 lb line backer was claiming to be a Weak-side Defensive End for a little longer than I probably should have.

It was a race for the spot between him and Tisdol. I like DT a whole lot, but I'm glad we pulled in Wes. Crazy athlete and very smart.
He and Owen will be two of the most athletic LBs in the Country playing together.

Slight point of clarification... Pappoe was #2. Nolan Smith took home the #1 spot last year. But yes... elite athletes abound to Auburn.

I’m shocked Steiner posted a 148. Smith and Pappoe were both freaks and they were around 141 and 140.

Maybe Pappoe won it his junior year then because I was almost positive he had the highest score at one point

This article says Nolan won...
This leaderboard from "2018" (not sure if that means class of 2018 cycle or legitimately 2018...) seems to indicate Pappoe won?

Either way... Auburn getting freak defensive athletes should surprise no one at this point. The crazy arse talented Wide Receivers on the other hand... Somebody still has to splain me how that happens... Kodi can't be that fricking good.

This shouldn't have any impact. We are recruiting Webb for Buck. Steiner is all LB.

This holds no weight as far as staff is concerned...and shouldn't wih him. He is being recruited as a Buck LBer which is more of a stand up edge rush guy in our scheme...so From everything I have heard we are taking 3 LBs and 1 Buck..with the Buck being either Webb or Harris...if we can get them.
