He is a small back, and looks slow. Unable to get through traffic. Bama must need players for processing to be named later I guess.

I thought he was was south Georgia, but his parents moved them to Marietta for Tyren to play in a running offense.

Yep. I posted about him on the LSU Recruiting Board back in September before anybody knew who he was. I bumped the thread early today before he committed to Bama.

Good pick up. Like I said before, regardless of whether he would have decided between UGA and Bama, or really wanted Bama, UGA has already filled that position. Now, he just has to pray he doesn't tear an ACL in his senior season.

Originally from New Orleans and his dad played WingBack for Grambling in the early/mid 1990s. Highlights of his dad at Grambling against Alcorn St and Steve "Air" McNair.
His dad had 6 catches for 157 yards and 3 TDs in this game.

Tyren was at Lassiter High School in Marietta, GA and they ran a 4-5 wide spread and were basically using Tyren as a blocking back. So his parents moved to a different neighborhood in the same general area and transferred to Walton. Many fans were upset but I think his dad did the right thing given Tyren's talent. He would have done Tyren a disservice by keeping Tyren at a school where a coach refused to use his talent.

In this case, absolutely not. No reason to be. UGA already has two fine RBS from 2012 and Derrick Henry for 2013 plus another RB who obviously the coaches were comfortable enough with to turn down Green. However, my last statement is purely for Jones' benefit.
