Where does this leave UGA with Sanders or Wright?

I don't think we have been in it seriously for Sanders.
We wanted a bigger type back. If we take another back it would probably be Noah Cain. He recently canceled his OV to Ohio State to come to our GT game, so he might still be in play.

Officially....1. Would take two if they were the right ones...but probably 1. Everybody should be coming back next year, so this was mainly a contingency plan based off Zamir White;s injuries.

One day people will realize that 100% of high school 40 times are innacurate.

More importantly, they are pretty irrelevant. It's not that often that you get a free, unimpeded 40 yard run in a game...

Not to mention that kid has gone on record as having said it's not a thing he's trained for at all... He doesn't run track for instance. Most of the kids with fast 40 times in HS also are running track and have a functional grasp on the technique required to time well in these events. Most expert athletic trainers will tell you you can shave an average of about .2-.3 seconds off of a 40 time with technique work - though this is of course variable based on how good the athlete's technique is to begin with. I'd be willing to bet that McIntosh has pretty poor form on his 40 yard dash... his film doesn't make him look like a pure burner, but he's plenty fast enough to pull away from quality athletes in South Florida.

I like DJ Williams a little better personally and hope we find a way to pull both... but McIntosh looks to be a quality add in the wake of losing Emery.

James Cook ran a 4.78 and 4.76 at the same camp. I’d say he is faster than his 40 time

Yeah, Cook was running 10.5 and 10.6 100 meters last spring - LINK

I'd say his 40 time was off.

No way he's as good as emery. Emery is a special talent with size, strength, explosiveness, elusiveness, acceleration, and top end speed. Emery is the one back in this class that I wanted as an LSU fan bc it's not only a position of need, but he will come in and contribute right away wherever he chose to go. I said that when he was committed to uga. He's a game changer.

Who said he was? Right now were just hoping Zamir White fully recovers during the off season and let the Emery Zeus threads begin.

No he probably isnt as good as Emery but hes a fine pick up. Will look forward to watching him run behind this OL when they are a year or two older.

Dude...dude...he was being sarcastic..hence the crying emoji.....Emory is a boss..
McIntosh is not a speedster (albeit he’s faster than what everyone’s believing) but he’s gonna surprise some folks with a year of conditioning..he’s a great athlete..

Yeah, we need to improve our ol. That's where a lot of our problems on offense have come from this season when we face really good front 7s. He's a good back for sure. He has a nice offer list too.

Yeah, I am realizing that now. My bad. Football speed is what really matters in the end. Emery just glides, I'm not gloating, but damn he is awesome to watch when he runs bc he makes it look so fluid and effortless. I would trust uga's staff when it comes to evaluating rbs tho, yall have a pretty good pedigree in the past at the position lol. McIntosh is a good looking player.

It would be hard to blame you if you were. Emery is an excellent back.

But, if we had to miss on Emery, I am glad we got McIntosh.

Yeah, players who run fast 40’s are usually guys who are exclusively prepping for the 40. I remember some FSU fans saying Cook was overrated because of his lackluster 40 time.

Football speed doesn’t account for 40 yard intervals. It’s usually judged laterally and I think McIntosh has great lateral quickness, patience and vision. JMO

Final thought on the speed argument: Chubb ran 4.75 at the Nike camp

Scarlett is going pro.

We are getting Wright.

As much as we have recruited Sanders, we have never been a legit threat for him. He has been signed, sealed, and delivered to Bama for 2 years.

OU wanted this guy or Davis from LSU. UGA is a good landing spot for him better than a Miami.

Oklahoma is no slouch in the running back department, either. Mixon, Anderson, Sermon....and it goes on and on.
