That isn't as uncommon as you think. It isnt atypical development for the 5th best passing QB in the 2016 recruiting class.
Mullen is very good. But he's best with a tebow. He hasn't shown to be best with a franks, yet (I will emphasize yet because franks is extremely talented. He can do things with the ball that most college qbs can't do).

Beating the worst FSU squad in 50 yrs and a Michigan team that sit half it's roster has the UF fanbase truly believing, got to love Gator logic.

Georgia, LSU, and Florida all ended up with 3 losses and went 1-1 against the others. LSU and UF won their NY6 games. We didn’t. If we did we would have finished the season 3rd so I don’t really have a problem with the voters dropping us for that disaster of a game.

Everybody is best with a Tebow
But seriously, I think beck was a better fit at UGA. I think he is a great player that could have more than made it work at UF.
I think Florida gets Anthony Richardson (elite 11 finalist) back committed now. He’s from Gainesville and is 6’4 230 Tebow style player. A 3 star right now but is one of the 11 finalists at QB and is a natural fit in Mullen’s offense.

Blowing a lead to a non title winning Bama team and laying an egg in your bowl game means you should’ve finished ranked ahead of a team that scored 40+ their last four games and beat each of their last 3 opponents (2 of them traditional powers and storied programs) by 26+ points? And the Michigan team was a top 8 team all year? Gotta love the Georgia logic. Florida finished the season playing better than Georgia. It’s clear.

Obviously we had an extra win, but polls almost always feature recency bias. We lost our last game handedly so we dropped. It is what it is. I’ll take the head-to-head win, and winning the East all day, so I don’t really have a problem being ranked behind them to end the year.

They were missing two players on defense. We beat them by 26. Did we not do what we were supposed to do? We beat them worse than Ohio State or any other team beat them all season.

Wasn’t just 2 guys, it was confidence, motivation, their 2 most badass defenders, their best running back, and an OL. UF was the only opponent lucky enough to face that Michigan team.
