He's not allowed to be in contact with coaches but he is allowed to visit the campus as a regular student.
I'm not sure if he is allowed to see athletic facilities. I'm sure he could find a way to slip into the facilities without any coaches actually being there.

That doesn't have anything to do with Mbem-Bosse because he isn't an EE

I missed the part where Mbosse was mentioned, sorry

Yeah well we don't need 5* or an offense for that matter, to beat UGA.

I understand that sometimes 3* kids turn out to be superstars, while sometimes 5* kids don't pan out...
But you don't ever see an entire signing class of 3* kids turn into all future-NFL team.
Here are the percentage of kids that were either 4* or 5* relative to all the kids signed by each of the previous UF head coaches (Assuming McElwain's kids all sign), going back to Zook:
63.6%- Urban Meyers
54.3%- Will Muschamp
45.8%- Ron Zook
28.2%- Jim McElwain
You always get a pass in Year 1, but by Year 2, it becomes a trend.
Last year Mac signed just 5 kids who were 4* or better out of 21 total (23.8%). So far this year, he's doing marginally better with 8/25 (32%) being 4* or better.
How do these years stand up to previous individual signing classes at UF?
Highest % of 4/5* kids in each recruiting class since 2002:
1) Class of 2006- 75.0% (Meyer)
2) Class of 2010- 73.3% (Meyer)
3) Class of 2012- 65.2% (Muschamp)
4) Class of 2008- 63.6% (Meyer)
5) Class of 2011- 63.2% (Muschamp)
6) Class of 2007- 62.1% (Meyer)
7) Class of 2009- 61.1% (Meyer)
8) Class of 2003- 53.8% (Zook)
9) Class of 2013- 53.6% (Mushcamp)
10) Class of 2004- 41.7% (Zook)
11) Class of 2002- 40.9% (Zook)
12) Class of 2014- 37.5% (Muschamp)
13) Class of 2005- 35.3% (Zook)
14) Class of 2016- 32.0% (McElwain)
15) Class of 2015- 23.8% (McElwain)
The good news is this class is on pace to not be dead last in top telent over the last decade and a half.
The bad news, its probably going to end up being the two worst back-to-back recruiting classes signed in Gainesville since the Doug Dickey era.

Hit me up on nsd
It will be a lot closer to 50%
Still got some studs coming in and lower guys to push out
Shavar Manuel
Brian Burns
Nick Eubanks
Tre Nixon
UF should get 3/4 of those at least
Then there's other guys like lyndell wilson, Nate Craig, bin victor etc that could end up at UF but I'm not as confident on
And last years had no 4 or 5 stars commited when Mac took over he didn't step into the cushy situation smart did the class was literally ranked somewhere around 100
UF def doesn't have the best recruiters right now but their good coaches
I wouldn't mind seeing a little staff shake up tho bring in 1 or 2 big names

Yeah because the late start last yr due to the coaching change had NOTHING to do with that class being undermanned. Mac showed up late and still pulled some very good players.
Either way.. the players from those classes.STILL beat UGA

Hated losing this guy he would of been a monster fullback.

Holy God how long did it take you to put that together?
Jesus Christ.
A good pick up for Florida. Big thing that people are ignoring - UF was gutted at a lot of positions but has brought in 12 EE's now. fricking twelve.
Will be almost like a totally new roster next year.

I trust Mac and the coaching staff in identifying 3-stars with talent over the middling and bottom 4-stars that the recruiting sites arbitrarily put in a list. He's done a great job of filling needs.
But the lack of impact 5-star and high 4-star players so far in this class concerns me a bit. He needs to finish strong. He can't keep letting these elite prospects in the state of Florida go elsewhere.
UF is the type of program that should be reeling in 3-5 five-star prospects on a yearly basis.

Interesting note about this bull shite -
The 2012 class by Muschamp - ranked the 3rd best, had a ton of huge busts. The 2006 Class from Meyer was the best, by a wide margin, but the 2010 class underwhelmed, and the 2008 class was one of the worst by the end in UF history. Same with the 2011 class.
These things are so hit and miss.
