I'm already paranoid about a mass Prattville flip on NSD.

I think the coaches at Auburn are taking the right approach in recruiting. Quality recruits from good high-schools in state. Instead of so much time head to head with Bama on players we're gonna get anyway.

Get the best you can and coach 'em up. All the effort on kids like Kouandjio was a waste.

CK did not take a lot away from our recruiting. We got on him pretty late and just closed fast.

CK was a little bullshite. People had been saying on Auburn's end that he was going to be a surprise for us for over a week and then his parents throw a hissy fit.

Either way, I agree we need to start recruiting different players and to be honest, our systems separate our targeted players pretty well. Outside of can't miss talent in the state and region, I don't see us having as many battles

How many Moncriefs are there in Prattville? It seems like there's one every two years.

He has brothers that played on the Prattville football teams. They weren't as good as him, but they were stand-out players.

I'd say Dekendrick was as good as Derrick was in high school.

Everyone that I've seen/read talk about Derrick vs DeKendrick, including coaches, have said that Derrick was the better Moncrief. I have no idea. DeKendrick came through when I was younger in high-school, IIRC. I've seen a lot of recruiting guys say Derrick would've been ranked higher out of high-school if he would've had the grades.

Either way, glad to have him on board. Feels good to be recruiting the bigger guys in the secondary.

No, not this staff.

Some of his weight is bad, so he'll shed some pounds when he gets in Auburn'a workout program. He'll either be a STAR or one of the safety positions.
