“Sour Grapes ?? “ means the fanbase is pissed off that we lost out on a prospect like DJ Daniel. That isn’t what you are seeing in this thread by Dawg fans.
Unless I missed it, most Dawgs are congratulating DJ Daniel and the Cocks while also believing this isn’t necessarily bad news for the Dawgs.
If you want to find sour grapes, go to LSU board after Dawgs signed John Emery or UT board after Dawgs signed Cade Mays.
Dawgs only have probably 5-6 slots left so of course we cannot get everyone.

Seems like a real solid Juco prospect. Not the end of the world, Juco kids usually take a year to get into the groove of things and UGA has plenty of talent in the secondary.

There are different levels of sour grapes. I know it feels like we get everyone, but just assuming he wasn’t a priority anymore like some did is a little low IMO, especially since there was nothing to back that up.

Egg-zactly. Dawgs will likely fill the spot with another 4-5* that will be a 3-4yr player for UGA.

It's possible. But the reason that all the recruiting services had him going to UGA is because he'd already made a video, interview and story ready for them to print the moment he committed. And that was all done with UGA. This is why your Cock guys at Rivals and 247 are as shocked as everyone else. Most of the time these guys know where a kid is going, but do not say it so the kid can announce on his own time.
Several scenarios I have heard:
1. He just changed his mind very last minute because he wanted to.
2. He wanted to be assured he would start and Smart would not give him that. Not saying Will assured him he would start, but he has less competition for a spot at SC given his ability.
3. Georgia wants him but only if they are assured he's an EE and that assurance is not 100 percent yet. Otherwise Georgia feels it'd be better to just find a freshman.
4. Kirby pulled his commitment last minute because someone flipped.
If I were betting, I'd bet two, but no one really knows.

From what I've pieced together, it sounds like Boom and Co made a great pitch around their success with JuCos relative to UGA's general *lack* of success with having JuCos contribute in a significant way. If I'm DJ, and I take that one and sleep on it for very long at all, I think the decision is pretty easy quite frankly. Go to the place that has proven they can take someone in nearly your exact situation and better their standing...
It certainly could be a combination of things, but were I laying down odds, it would seem like that is probably a pretty significant contributor toward the decision... a well pitched recruitment by Boom/TRob.
