Several thoughts here:
He won't be a 4* until after he flips.
He had a choice to join 1 of 2 awful defenses, so he picked the staff that will be there at least next year.
He saw Whammy was gone after this season, so he decided to cut loose too.
Auburn gained a commitment, but SC avoided another failed player evaluation by Whammy. (j/k he could be really good, we'll find out in 3 years.)

We haven't recruited him since the Spring. The only qbs we're looking at now are JuCO guys

nice troll attempt, you can't be serious. Does Barrett even Elite 11 Bro? Did he even make it to the Semi's when McIlwain won MVP? Did he make it the the Finals and was he named in the Final Elite 11?
How are his stats? McIlwain (in 9 games) already has 39 Total TD's. 1455 yds of passing, 16 passing TD's, 1185 yds rushing, 23 rushing TD's, (7 of which were over 100 yds) and a 6.7 ypc.
