Bama just landed a commitment from in-state defensive back Red Morgan on Wednesday. Morgan previously committed to the Florida State Seminoles on July 4.

Morgan becomes the second prospect from Central High School in Phenix City (Ala.) to flip to Alabama this recruiting cycle. Former Utah defensive lineman pledge Isaia Faga committed to the Tide back on June 28.

Morgan’s commitment to Bama comes less than two weeks after attending the program’s Champions Cook-Out.

Strange.

Is this because of KJ Bolden choosing FSU?

Neither Auburn nor Alabama really expressed interest to the point of allowing him to commit, until now with Alabama.

He just camped at Bama. They decided they wanted him.

Alabama has been very high on him since he camped in June. Same for Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. who has the green light to commit as well.

My point is that he still committed to Florida State in July even though he camped at Alabama in June, so it appears he didn’t have the green light then.

It feels like just yesterday that Dre Kirkpatrick was in on special teams against Texas in the BCS NCG.

Not being disparaging but half these players have a kid already going into college. Not disparaging Dre he has been an excellent player and individual who gives back to the community.
