I would trust LSU's judgement. I think they have earned it.
That said, we have one or two players that we feel is underrated. With Covid and a lack of camps there will be a lot of players ranked incorrectly. Teams will rely more on their own scouting than ever before.

We’ve been hearing his name for a while as someone to watch if he has a strong senior year or things don’t pan out with our other safety targets. Looks like both of those things happened so we made the move a little while back.

Blown up this year playing senior year, this is a kid on camp circuit this past summer would have made a name for himself. Runs a sub 11 second 100m, he's an athlete.
LSU was watching 2 LA safeties going into this year - Jardin Gilbert and Matthew Langlois. They decided to pull the trigger on Langlois over Gilbert. Langlois was recently bumped up on 247 from an 87 to 89 rating. He also got an offer from Notre Dame the day before he committed to us.

Jack Bech is another recent offer from the state, offer is rumored to be for 2nd TE in class as a FLEX TE. He's 6'2.5 215 right now. Had 91 catches for 1668 yards and 20 TD as a junior and is destroying folks again this year.
He also just got offered from Mississippi State, TCU and Texas in the last week. He plays with 2022 LSU QB commit Walker Howard at St. Thomas More.

This was his game sealing interception return for TD last week:
Game was tied 22-22 with time expiring for just 1 more play
With that interception return for TD they won 28-22 with time expired. The return is the crazy part considering the situation especially, the interception was pretty easy and just a throw it up situation

Nothing wrong with a few 3 stars per class but you cant Win championships with more than a few. Show me a Championship team made up of mostly 3 stars in the last 20 years? I hope this kid balls out. LSU has had some 3 stars become stars.

He is fast, and can get bigger.
We really whiffed last two years with not getting a commit out of major burns, malcom green and donovan kaufman last year. Green was someone we thought would come in day one and compete and would on day be someone special on the team. Then two years ago deven bush or Christian williams to go with stingley in the class...
Losing vincent this year has I think hindered our current DB development causing them to be thrown in the fire b4 they were ready. Oh well long time left in the year to see what happens
