Tennessee will sign him unless they screw up colossally. Deal has been done.

Don’t think we’re a player for this kid whatsoever but he is supposed to be on campus this weekend at least

Georgia was hoping he was coming for the cookout this weekend, but it looks as if he'll be in Athens mid-week instead.

I’ll believe it when I see it, but there’s no denying that UT is in a much better position now as compared to 3-4 months ago.
“I know his recruitment is unpredictable and anything can still happen but there is a source saying that Nolen to Tennessee is much further along than some people anticipate right now.”

I'm still amazed the number of things he got wrong yet still the blind faith that some folks have for him. Some people can easily be influenced, I guess.

I mean when you’re as desperate as our fanbase is, you’ll pretty much believe in anyone or anything.

Fong article about A&M recruiting weekend...
quote:
The pool party/barbecue at Texas A&M was still going strong into the evening on Saturday as Jimbo Fisher and his coaching staff hosted a tremendous list of blue-chip prospects spanning the 2022 and and 2023 recruiting classes.
It's the kind of weekend nearby the SEC campus that could sustain the Aggies as a National Title contender for years to come.Working on a fourth-straight Top10 recruiting class here in the 2022 cycle, Fisher and company welcomed several five-stars including defensive tackle Walter Nolen, defensive end Shemar Stewart, linebacker Harold Perkins, defensive end Omari Abor, safety Jacoby Mathews, defensive lineman Bear Alexander and of course quarterback commit Conner Weigman."Environment was cool," Stewart said. Georgia, Miami and Ohio State are the other contenders in his process. "A lot of top players in the country were there. College Station is different from what I imagined, everything you need is close to campus or on campus. What stood out for me was the depth chart for my position, there are two seniors leaving after this season. A&M has always been up there but now that I've seen it in person they remain one of my top schools."
"It was great," Perkins uncle Alvin Walton said. LSU, Texas, Alabama, Florida and Oregon are some of the others the nation's No. 1 linebacker likes. "As always they make us feel like we are at home. Harold enjoyed his time up here with the coaching staff, current players and all the recruits.""Loved it," Nolen's father Walter stated. They spent three days in town. Texas A&M seems to have moved up in a group that also includes Alabama, Florida Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee. "Great possibility (of an official visit). Nice college town. Good coaches, good facilities, feels good here."Those five-stars were just the tip of the iceberg of the talent hanging out poolside this weekend. There were a plethora of Top247 prospects in town as well."The environment is crazy," blazing fast receiver Brenen Thompson said. His list of contenders also includes Oklahoma State, Oregon and Texas. "I'm glad I made it out here for sure. Big things coming forward. Everyone here is dedicated to each other."Many of the Aggies 2022 commits returned as well."Everybody was hype taking pics because we weren't all here together on our visits," Top247 tight end Donovan Green said. "Pool party was lit, water balloon fights and water guns, pool and buckets of water. And the food was great. A lot of guys getting to know each other."Texas A&M is off to a fast start in 2023, sitting on the 247Sports Composite's No. 5 class nationally with in-state offensive tackle Colton Thomasson the latest to join the fold."What stood out the most to me was the atmosphere actually," Thomasson said. "It felt like my hometown (Spring Branch). I knew here I wouldn't have to change who I am to get by here!""Real good," defensive end commit Anthony James said of his experience. "It was amazing, the love, the famil
