I doubt that since I do not even think UA was in the running at the end. Either way the important thing if he fits what the coaches want a great pickup for the staff.

QB/OL/DL recruiting over the last few years has been better than any staff since Fulmer. That's what it takes to compete with the big boys.

Not exactly true, just look at George McIntyre. G-Mac team, Brentwood academy went 9-3 his sophomore year and he threw for 2,341yds and 19TD’s. His junior year his team went 2-10 and was ranked as the #2 QB and #10 overall player the country at the end of the season.
G-Mac only dropped in the rankings when the new rankings updated after the Elite 11 camp a month ago. His team going 2-10 had nothing to do with him dropping. Him pulling out of the Elite 11 due to minor injury to his throwing hand(stitches), is why he dropped to #8 QB in the country. Once G-Mac camps again it starts his season, he will pick up his 5th star again. On3 was just mad he didn’t participate in their camp.

Rankings this far out are a guess at best anyway. Who knows who will do what and stand out. I know someone at his school and hear he is a really good kid. So, time will tell.
The recruiting services to me are a complete joke. They are there to get fans excited and if their people on staff actually had a clue how to evaluate talent, I doubt they would be there and probably making a lot more money on a coaching staff somewhere. Why so many times they miss talent. We saw Saban and other top coaches offer a kid and all of a sudden, the services had to play catch up and the kid would jump up in the rankings.
Two things I truly believe in recruiting. One the coaches do not use the recruiting sites to find players. Second what is important to them is to find kids that fit their system.
