Hard to imagine a kid from Baton Rouge going anywhere but LSU. If he talks like this once we get closer than a year out from his signing day, maybe I'll consider it a battle.

Louisiana is absolutely STACKED for the 2019 class. If LSU can hold on to 85% of them and get our usual Texas and Mississippi/Alabama guys we will have a top 5 class, if not top 3. This year's class is just super meh.

Georgia is in the same boat. We're stacked with instate talent. Just gotta keep them home.

With all of the Louisiana kids on roster, I think he'd feel right at home here.

Getting a visit this early is always big. If LSU keeps winning he's all but a guarantee but you still build those relationships because anything can happen if say LSU has a bad year and coach ya ya goes on the hot seat. It's not likely but that's why you put in the work on every recruit. Always be an option.

Bama did it twice with Dylan Moses and Chris Allen. With Georgia on the rise, this really wouldn't surprise me.

That situation was a bit different, we weren't really big on him with his high school issues ( )

This would be a watershed moment that really shows me we are reaching a bama recruiting level. I think we fight for him, but don't think we get him unless LSU is in total disarray by that time. It's possible, but I'm actually a little higher on Orgeron than most, so I'm not banking on it

Thomas is partly responsible for recruiting some other area prospects to Baton Rouge and also to keep the 2019 recruiting class — which ranks No. 4 in the nation — intact. So far, it’s going better than expected.

“I ain’t going to lie, there are a lot of people who are committed to other places that actually do want to take a look at LSU. Everybody does,” Thomas smiled. “Some people … I wouldn’t say they want to de-commit and come to LSU, but you know, they’re iffy about it. I know some guys that really want to come to LSU, or take a look at LSU.”

“I’m not just the recruiter,” he added, “I’m the person that basically keeps the class together.”

I just read the interview for the first time and it was super refreshing in many ways. Pittman wasn't pressuring him to flip just giving him the how it is for RGs. The kid seems to have a great head on his shoulders and gave a great interview about how it went and what he was told. No negative recruiting just strictly what we offer as a program. I thought that was cool insite from a committed LSU commit to see how we get involved. I don't think he flips. You can see the love for LSU in his responses but he's doing his due dilligence which every kid should. Good read
