re: 2019 4-star DT Ishmael Sopsher Signs With Alabama

For the 1st time I feel if Ish goes to Bama I could care less he's a player who looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. I'd be pissed if LSU lost Lee though kid can play.

Sospher and Lee are both going to LSU. Done deal. They have informed the coaches tonight

The owner of BamaOnLine and the most well connected Bama “insider” anywhere, as it relates to recruiting.

I can’t remember a single instance, in 13 years of membership, where he straight up called a recruit to Bama and ended up being wrong. He’s been off on players he’s had to “guess,” but he lets you know when that’s the case.

In Sophser’s case, he called it straight up for Bama. I would be beyond shocked if Sopsher ends up at LSU.

Generally, if he's uncertain, he'll preface it by emphasizing "it could go either way" or "too close to call." Sometimes he'll add "(Fill in the blank school here) wouldn't shock me," as he did with a few other recruits in that thread.

Yes, he predicted Young and Sophser to Bama, along with Henry To'oto'o and Kelian Robinson.

Overall, a pretty low key day for Bama due to early signing period, but landing those 4 would certainly be great news and icing on the cake.

More than Landon Collins or Dylan Moses? Moses was a high profile recruit in the 8th grade.

Glad I don’t follow recruiting nearly as close as I used to back then. Much more stress free not caring about an 18 y/o kid’s decisions

he will not qualify.

Tim is as good as it gets but there was a recruit or 2 he was wrong about last year.
