It's because he realized how elite of a program South Carolina is and wanted to be the best of the best. It was a business decision for him.

Way to douche-up the recruiting board a-hole.

That's classy of Dabo to let him transfer if that's the case

Wow ... surprise surprise. My stalker is back doing his deflection management thing.

Take the shite talk back over to the SECr a-hole ... I missed getting to finish schooling your sorry arse last week because of business, but I've got plenty of time for the next few days.

Take it off of this board - this board is no place for your taterhead bullshite.

Probably not unless he were to receive some sort of waiver ... which he probably will not. But it does mean he has received the blessing of Dabo to transfer to any school he desires so we have to give Dabo credit for showing some class in this case.

I just read the letter from his lawyer ... this thing is being handled with class all the way around.

The stuff about not being happy at Clemson; if that were the case, do you really think Dabo would let him go to USCe? Just because he changed his mind? Really?

Well it is his Christian duty

The reasons that Lonnie gave are what seem to be the real deal, and no one should have a problem with what's best for a kid and his family. Rivalries and football games aren't that important.

It's all 3 things that are causing him to transfer. That's why I said "also."

It's a really weird situation. I can't think of any modern recruiting scenario where a five star transferred as an early enrollee freshman to their rival.

I don't see there being a big difference between actual time with his mom if she is sick. He will be on campus M-F with a full schedule at both schools. He will have maybe an hour further to drive on weekends.

After this year he likely would have been a starter as well. Now he will sit out a year more than likely. It's puzzling.

As bad as Clemson has dominated South Carolina can you really call them rivals still? That’s like calling UGA and Georgia tech rivals

Well USCe has beat Clemson more than Auburn has beat UGA in the last 10 years, and Auburn and UGA are still considered rivals

Also, sounds like a great get Gamecocks. He shot up the boards last year. Sounds like a very talented player and hopefully the move closer to home works out for him and his family.

No offense to my South Carolina brethren, but Belk was ranked #102 in the Composite rankings. He is not a 5-star signee. He's still elite, just not a 5-star.

Dabo may have done the move more to avoid bad press vs out of the goodness of his heart. The vagueness about the situation is odd.

The fact that a lawyer was involved tells you that something unusual was going on.

I hope that wasn't the case that it was just buyers remorse, and it really is all about a sick parent. If he was directed by another party connected to USC to hire a lawyer and put pressure on Clemson, that's a big deal and a slime ball move.

.... yet just to be clear, I'm pretty sure ThaiTiger24 is a sheephumper alter. Most Auburn fans are pretty cool and this guy, along with a couple of other noobs, comes-across as a taterhead alter. They're coming-in from taternet because of a thread over there and they are masquerading as Auburn and Bama fans to stir the shite and also sheephumpers are notorious for wanting to be like Auburn and Bama. They unanimously claim a connection to both ... Auburn because of their mascot, campus, etc., and Bama because of some of their coaches ... so they are prone to taking-on Auburn and Bama alters. They've been doing it for years now.

Pretty sure ThaiTiger24 is a sister-banging sheep humping taterhead alter as is the noob Sean Bean posting as a Bama fan.
