Former 5* DT from Lewisville Josh Belk has asked for a transfer from Clemson and wants to come to SC now....Clemson is willing to release him and South Carolina is willing to take him if everything checks out from a compliance standpoint...would not arrive until August and would count against the 2019 class. He would have to sit out the 2018 season and would conceivably be eligible to play in 2019.

Talk about a quick change of heart. Is he even on campus yet?

It's because he realized how elite of a program South Carolina is and wanted to be the best of the best. It was a business decision for him.

Muschamp has been pretty successful on the defensive side in the ball if you haven’t noticed.

SC led early in the process and a commit to Clemson early came from nowhere, then after signingbfor some reason he has apparwntly started to regret signing at clemson and wants to go to sc. I believe Clemson would release him to us only caise itd be an instate nightmare for them in relations with coaches around the state with the kid so early in his career.

If clemson is willing to release him to sc, he can’t be that good.

Joke all you want, but the word on the street is his mom is very ill (cancer?). He wants to be closer to home so he can help out with her care.

He also ended up not liking Dabo or Todd Bates.

He called us in February saying he made a huge mistake.

Would be a really solid get for y'all. Hope everything with him is ok. Always a little worrisome when someone transfers before they even spend a fall at the university they originally enrolled at.

Sounds like a good case for a transfer waiver.

Totally different sport but still worth a mention...we also just picked up tatertech's leading scorer on their wbb team. She's a grad transfer.

Rats. Ship.

Us? You and your mom? Or you and Rooster? I'm sure he'll be telling everyone any second now how he knew all about this but was sworn to secrecy.

I wish him and his family the best. Its tough having to deal with something like this and focus on football.

The reasons that Lonnie gave are what seem to be the real deal, and no one should have a problem with what's best for a kid and his family. Rivalries and football games aren't that important.

The stuff about not being happy at Clemson; if that were the case, do you really think Dabo would let him go to USCe? Just because he changed his mind? Really?

Way to douche-up the recruiting board a-hole.
