Ole Miss isn't messing around. Whatever y'all are doing in Oxford, keep it up.

Okay, look, I can totally get it when y'all say these kinds of things about the Laquon Treadwells and Leremy Tunsils of the world, but DK Buford is from the same fricking county that Ole Miss is in. He grew up literally ten minutes from campus.

This commitment was expected.

Justin Woodall went to Alabama

Wesley Smith went to Memphis

These were two guys from Oxford who went to other schools.

24/7 has him with a 4.22 40 which is pretty ridic. Is he projected to be a slot guy like Kailo?

So where does Buford rank in Mississippi for '14?

Top 5 for sure. Probably top 2 or 3. The Voorhies kid going to LSU may be 1. He is from way down south though

Yeah, he's basically from the Baton Rouge area. I was think the OL from Jackson would number one though.

I've heard MS is loaded next year. How deep is it, and where does Buford rank this early?

Currently basically double the 4*s right now in MS(as juniors) as there was at the end of last year as seniors. The last 3 years have been pretty shitty in MS talent overall compared to traditional standards, while the 14 and 15 classes appear to be way above average.

Deepest class in MS since 2009 for sure. Maybe deeper than that. Will probably end up with 12-15 4* guys in state the next two years.

Only issue is that almost none of them play in the trenches in the 14 class. One blue-chip OG, a few (likely to end up 4*) DEs, and a bunch of skill position guys...

Buford is a great pick up. Has been expected for awhile, but still a legit talent as a scat back/slot guy. He's a more durable version of Kailo...

I wonder when the last time each school in the SEC had a BCS caliber player in their city go elsewhere.

Here you go...

Of these(just going with traditional ties and what's been said early in the recruiting process):
LSU gets 1(#2)
MSU gets 5(#3,4,5,9,10)
OM gets 3(#6,7,8)
And I have no idea where #1 Rod Taylor goes. Seems to be leaning toward Bama right now, but who knows? Inner city Jackson really doesn't have a "lean" toward any school traditionally.

Alot of the in-state talent falls in traditional MSU strongholds this year. Not that OM can't get a few of those players on occasion though...

He's top 5 in the state, some say he's the best overall player. Clarion ledger posted an article saying he ran a 4.22 at a camp last summer. At 5-10 190 I want him at CB.

He can probably haul arse, but I don't think anyone is dumb/naive enough to believe he runs a 4.22.

I don't think it really matters. How often does a football player get to run a straight 40 in a game? He is fast. Lots of players are. He is probably faster than most is what you can take from that "number". Pretty simple...
