Yeldon was All Auburn, All Family.

Until the day he committed to Bama and his voice and presence went silent.

Yeldon kept talking about how he was ready to get to Auburn and get ready to play Clemson. The only difference in Liner and Yeldon is that Yeldon had a teammate committed to bama who was in his ear every day.

well from what i remember there was a bama writer that said there was a better than 50% chance that bama flipped dee. To me that still reads as though there is a better than 50% chance that he'll be playing for bama. So why shoudl i be suprised that a bama lean was at bama's A day.

1) Yeldon grew up a Bama fan
2) Yeldon's best friend committed/signed with Bama
3) Luper has his name in a Head Coaching job and Yeldon didn't like that
4) Malzahn was leaving Auburn for stAte.

Not very similar, IYAM.

If you call "I want to have Gene Chizik's babies" things like that, then yes.

I was going to say he wouldn't have wanted Phillips back.

More from Liner:

When asked about Alabama...

quote:

"I'm trying to be nice, but I know to myself they don't have a chance at getting me," Liner said.

quote:

"I was taking the ACT on Saturday, and my friends from Sheffield (High School) wanted to go on a visit," Liner said. "I promised them I'd take them on a visit. We wanted to go to Auburn, but with the ACT, it was too far and we couldn't make it. I didn't even go to Alabama's A-Day game.

quote:

"I was pissed hearing the rumors. Alabama is still trying to make it like I'm going to go there when I'm 100 percent committed to Auburn. Nothing this weekend changed my mind," Liner said.

"I know the Auburn fans hear that stuff, and I just wanted to tell them I love them all, and War Damn Eagle."

Liner said he plans to return to Auburn again in May.

Welp, anyone else not worried at this point? That interview was pretty telling.

You need a feeling of infallibility about your opinion, mixed with a sense of entitlement, and a heavy dose of condescension.

Liner said he was excited about the two commitments Auburn picked up over the weekend, especially linebacker Cameron Toney from Huntsville (Ala.) High.

“I talk to Cameron all the time,” Liner said. “I feel real good about his commitment. He’ll fit in real good with the program we got down there.”
