Lets look at this logically. Opelika, Auburn, Oxford, they are all pretty close to LaGrange in the grand scheme of things. Especially the 30 miles from LaGrange to the Lee County area. Is this particular Auburn fan not aware of that glaring hole in this conspiracy? Look, Foster may very well look harder at AU now. I admit that, but it won't be because Nick Saban is "angry" over where he transferred.

The only difference is, now he'll have coaches, players, and students in his ear about going to Auburn, and is within walking distance of any sort of contact with the AU coaches. Conspiracy theory or not, there will be bugs in his ear about this.
Like I said earlier, I'd be pretty solidly worried if Liner up and transferred to Tuscaloosa High.

I think the only roots that he is going off of in his conspiracy is his friend's reaction to it all. Saying it was dirty and stuff when, the school is only 15 minutes away.

I just hope my donations to Tigers Unlimited go to good use.

Alabama has recently signed two kids from the Lee County area. Obviously LaMichael Fanning transferred to a Georgia High School in the end and Corey Grant left Alabama after a year, but the point still stands. Our staff is batting pretty high at keeping guys committed. If Foster is truly graduating early, we don't have to worry about those last 8 weeks that can be the most worrisome time in the recruiting cycle. A nearly year long commitment to Alabama means something, IMO. But again, I'm just a fan.

He's a TJ Yeldon in reverse. DWI. Payback is a bitch.

Well, at least we'll be able to take Cameron Toney then.

Spence McCracken was a hell of a HS coach... just never could get over the hump at make it to bham (at opelika, he won it a Lee IIRC)... they had as much talen as daphne and prattville but couldn't get past the semi's.
At one point a few years ago OHS had contributors at three SEC schools at one time -- melven oliver at LSU, Cory Larkin at UT, and Tommy Jackson at AU... impressive.

A. It woulda been a cold day in Hell before McCracken let Grant go to UA. Was the first Opelika kid to sign with them in something like 40 years.
B. I still find it hard to believe he never went all the way with them. The talent and coaching Opelika had while he was there was nothing short of phenomenal. I kinda felt bad watching us beat them his last year coaching...

grant's dad was long-time buds with willie carl martin (on staff at UA, played with grant's dad at ASU, former BRHS HC)...
if it was corey's decision 100%, he would've been at AU to begin with.

Really? I heard the opposite, that his parents - his dad specifically - weren't too fond of him picking UA over AU.

I would be absolutely SHOCKED if foster flipped to anybody...this kid is ALL Bama...in my humble opinion.

A. Were you shocked to find out Yeldon flipped to Alabama?
B. Would you say you are shocked frequently?
So if both A and B are both yes, logic would say that you would be shocked by Foster flipping, but it isn't all that unlikely with the frequency in which you're shocked.

I don't think he does either, but I'm done with living and dieing by what they do. Every big time prospect seems to have some major drama around them these days. Robert Nkemdiche for instance. He seems like a great kid, but all these friends and family getting offers to try and lure him is absurd.

Ever heard of Tana Patrick or Landon Collins?

I'm not aware of another roster spot being taken up to sign either. I mean, if Alabama was down for doing this Keenan Allen wouldn't be playing at Cal right now.
