Chizik is trolling AU fans and the rest of the SEC.

I hope.

Garrett started over him Wednesday too. Garrett is gonna be a good player once he puts on a little more weight. He's 215 right now, which is enough, but he'll fully reach his potential with a few more pounds.

Jay Tate hit on this the other day in a Rivals chat. According to him, Garrett will probably start the opener, but Frost will probably take over as the starter about halfway through the season. I agree. Frost, according to the beat writers, has been slow to pick up the defense mentally and is just now starting to understand it all. Once he understands what is being asked of him in this defense and can just go out and play instead of thinking all the time, Frost is going to be a beast. Garrett may be ahead of him right now, but it's because he's further along mentally. The physical abilities between the two aren't comparable, and once Frost fully "gets it," he'll be the starter.

And shocker, Chizik's breakdown of the scrimmage: Inconsistent, no separation at QB, we got a long way to go, good sometimes, not good sometimes.

Seriously, at this point, can't our beat writers just play an interview they did with Chizik after a scrimmage in 2009 on their tape recorders and put it on repeat?

Interesting that Garrett started over him today. Not sure what to take away from that.

To me, it means BVG, like Grimes, is trying all sorts of combinations and giving everybody a chance.

And then, prior to the first game, he will take all of that data and make his choices with regard to starters.

Why does the media even bother with him anymore? I bet their interviews with him after the second scrimmage last season are the exact same as the one this season, just different names

Ryan Smith and Jermaine Whitehead have been running with the 1s for several days in a row now.

I love the move of Whitehead to safety. It will allow him to use his mental understanding of the game moreso than he would at corner. And he can tell holland where the hell to line up when he gets confused.

I would imagine CGC's wedding night went like this.

Mrs. C: well Gene how was I

CGC'S: well babe you did OK. Some inconsistent sucking, but you were in proper position in most cases. We have a lot to work on, but I am pleased with your effort and attitude.

Moseley looked "healthy" today. Threw a long bomb to Lutz.

KF looked more "steady"

Defense had some "good things happen" but still has to eliminate the "explosive plays"

I was excited about him when I first saw his film. He plays pretty fearlessly. Another 10 or so lbs and he'll be cracking some skulls on the next few years.

I think Denson will play a lot in because I think he'll be our best blocking WR.

I noticed that he was always in the game when we ran the power sweep play with Mike Dyer.

Friend of mine on the team told me that BVG literally is installing the falcon D no holding back and the team just having trouble getting used to NFL level strategy due to the complexity. Way different than roof. Also said Westerman is the most physically gifted, strong and quick, OL we have outside maybe Robinson but just mentally he needs to figure things out with blocking schemes and the change in scheme due to new OC didn't help

FWIW
