Frazier hasn't NOT been named the starter yet because he hasn't distanced himself. For God's sakes, he's getting nearly every first team rep in practice. He hasn't been named because Chizik told Moseley he would have every opportunity to compete for the starting QB job, and the last thing we want to do is break a promise to a kid that probably will never play QB at Auburn again as the starter. It doesn't hurt anyone to not name the starter yet.
When your OC has more praise for a true freshman's command of the huddle than he does the probable starter, it would make me feel kind of uneasy. I know as coaches, they have to balance the players from getting over confident and being humble. But if there is anybody on the field that needs to have the most confidence, it would be the starting qb.

Ok worry all you wish. I am not wrong., but it's cool. No need to get all whacked over something we have no control over whatever scenario you choose to believe.
As far as Mosely him being hurt not much we can do. Of course I wish he was not injured. Wasn't the point of my post though.

What the hell are you talking about? I was just making the point that if our starter, KF, goes out, we have a true freshman as a backup. There's no way CM can be productive with a bum shoulder.

They did the same thing with Cam and Trotter coming into 2010. This is the way this coach Chizik works whether we agree or not.

Apparently you don't know much about psychology and/or coachspeak..... Truth is, Frazier could go 30-30 with 450 yds and 5 TDs with no picks and they'd likely say he needs to fix something. It's too early in camp for pats on the back.

at this point I hope KF can produce, Is it too much to ask for the coaches to give him a good report just 1 practice? Never thought I would say this but I kinda wish Barrett Trotter had stuck around

That is not how I took your original post I responded to bud. You know your concern that Frazier hasn't made more separation based on Del Geco? Did I miss something? If I did I apologize.
My bad bruh, I responded to you in error. I really need my glasses. My apologies

You know, not even the coaches knew how good Cam was in the practices. It wasn't until the games started that they really knew what they had.

That was the bama fan talking about Del Greco. I was just saying with CM hurt, and our current QB depth, we need to take on two QBs with this class. Maybe I just suck at english.
ETA:
I see your apology, and will let your error slip this time.

Yes, what I also remember was all the high praise Cam received from the players during interviews. Some of the same things I had heard about KF during Spring.

Ive missed all the reports where the coaches have said KF sucked at practice today.

KF is the starter, the coaches also need Wallace to be ready as a backup. Wallace is the real deal.

Apparently we have. I believe you need your Capt Crunch decoder ring to read between the lines.

You're not going to find any. You'll just find speculation, because Loeffler isn't jizzing all over the himself at the mention of KF.
I agree with what Rocky said. Pay attention to what the players say and not the coach speak.

Is this because he is running the offense better or because CM has tendonitis in his shoulder? I heard Al Del Greco on the Opening Drive here in B'ham that he is real uneasy that KF hasn't distanced himself enough from CM, with a hurt shoulder, to already be named the starter.
No one knows what the coaches are thinking. From what I understand he is the starter it just has not been announced. Most insiders are reporting he is taking the majority of practice snaps. I think the coaches are just dragging it out. Why, I don't know.

Honestly, I feel the same way. We haven't heard once that KF looked real good in practice or scrimmage.
They guys on the field have had nothing but praise for him. You aren't going to get much info out of Chizik and co...that has been more than proven.

I don't understand how fans still can't grasp this concept.
Go back and read the fall practice notes from the previous 2/3 years. It'll probably look almost identical.

If Wallace works out to be a solid backup/potential competitor for a starting role and Frazier solidifies himself as QB, there is no reason to take on two QBs in this class. We will have 3 scholarship QBs come 2013 in this scenario which is about average

I'd love to see the depth chart read as follows:
1 Frazier
2 Wallace
3 Mosley
1 Frazier
2 Wallace
3 Mosley
