I've seen several people report that he is just waiting on the NCAA to clear him, then he's good to go.

Carlson then went to LSU's camp, where he was pulled into Les Miles' office. The head coach had championship rings laid out on his desk when he told Carlson, "We want you to be a Tiger. Today."

Seems like a tough moment for a kid to tell a super star coach "not right now."

Thought I saw someone on here post last week that he was good to go. Now that I think about it, may have been just a twitter post, so nothing official.

Moseley is a fragile flower that must be nurtured until Wallace is ready to take over the backup spot.

Can someone explain how it's going to work with Wallace and Jeremy Johnson (I will NOT refer to him as JJ for obvious reasons)

Will JJ redshirt? I don't think Wallace will due to the reason quoted above. However, how will that affect future QB recruiting, like for the 2014 class? It seems like we are building depth but will elite QB's be interested if they have to wait?

it's okay, they didnt want him anyways

Suprised he was told Bama didnt need a kicker. I wonder if he has any fan ties personally to Bama(like has he ever cheered for them) since both parents are grads

JJ won't redshirt we are too thin at QB, he will be 2nd string and we will get to hear all the coach talk qb spring battles between him and Frazier next spring. Maybe they'll be warranted this time. JW sounds like a great kid, but nothing more than a career practice qb IMo.

i know that's an awesome moment for Hutcherson, but passing the grad exam is the beginning... not the end.

I'm sure the kid knows it, and there is a strong support system for athletes, but class is gonna get a lot harder.

No one gets anointed a starter or backup, especially at qb. you want the job? Beat out the man that you are competing with. Know the playbook, the checks, the reads, and make all the throws when it counts.

And I love how every recruit is penciled in as the future starter from day 1.

Just an observation, He won't start this year, not next year with Friazier and JJ same for the next. Unless he starts his senior year which would just be odd

Wallace is going to redshirt this season. He could be a starter for two years as a Jr and Sr when Kyle leaves.

Damn, just realized I took the bait. Well played sir.
