* Auburn is evaluating and assessing several Penn State players for a possible signing push. The emphasis is on young guards and centers. ILB Khairi Fortt doesn't fit into the Tigers' plan at this point. The team has four LBs committed, including the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 inside guys, and simply don't have room there. Or a need. Plus, Fortt underwent knee surgery in April and may not be ready for the season.
**Auburn is optimistic about WR JaQuay Williams and TE Darrion Hutcherson earning academic qualification. However, it doesn't appear they'll be ready for the first day of fall camp, which is set for August 1. Both are in summer school right now.

I'm impressed with how well he throws the ball with not so great mechanics. He throws a beautiful deep ball and usually puts it right on the mark. I think he's got a chance to be really good with some proper coaching. He didn't start playing QB until his soph year, I believe, so he's only been at it 2 years.
