We would be okay without taking any OL this class, and if there was any position to skip it's certainly along the OL, but that doesn't make it a good idea
We took no Olinemen in 2008 class, look how well that turned out last season. I hope we take at least two in this class.

Jarrad Davis brings competition to the LB corp. That is something that has been missing for the past 4 years. No more anointed starters because we have no one else. You want to play, you now have to be significantly better than Javi Mitchell or Cass or Davis. I'm, for one, glad to see it.

I agree, which is great because I think Cass is going to be really good.

Bryan Matthews is now posting a "Recruiting Megaboard" every Monday until NSD. Basically a Hot Board without JLee

He was talking about Hackenberg. The coaches definitely want him, I'd imagine.

Trooper's on the phone with some senior PSU linebacker as we speak.

Wouldn't doubt it. Hackenberg would be a huge commitment if we could pull it off.

I agree about competition piece. I'd almost prefer the coaches never even say anyone is a "returning starter." You go out and you earn your spot every single year. That breeds consistent improvement and competition.
That may be something they already do, but that's a great way to get 18-22 year old's highly motivated.

No one is 100% sure right now, but I've read possibly up to 23. Depends on attrition because the sr class this year is very small.

way too early for this question. Twitter Cam might not come back and Crying Cam might go pro so who knows at this point.

What's the new news on Tray Matthews I keep hearing about?
Posted on 7/23/12 at 9:22 am to diddydirtyAubie
I'm going to go out on a fairly sturdy limb and say that Blakely might be on that short list if he doesn't change his attitude.

Not sure about the details, but basically he's saying he's firmly committed to UGA.

Hackenburg is contacting South Carolina first and AU is needed. I thought he would give Tennessee another look, considering his father played with Dooley at UVA.

I still have a feeling we may pull him.
