Negative. 247 is not owned by any single person. There are literally dozens of investors. Trust me, here.

People think that because Shannon is the face and the leader of 247, and he's a Bama fan, that 247 is biased towards Bama. He helped found the company, but he doesn't own the company. He owns a part of the company. So do several other people with allegiances to a variety of schools - including AU.

I happen to think 247 has the best staff and does the best job of evaluations and staying current. It would seem that many subscribers to recruiting sites feel the same as 247 is growing faster than the other 3 combined.

I like 247 the best, but I still have problems with some of their evaluations. Example: Saying Foster is a "once in a every 10 years" type of player, and then they dropped him to #7 saying "he may not have a high ceiling" a couple weeks later. That makes no sense.

Still, I think they're better than Rivals and ESPN, and all 3 are far better than Scout

I think the Foster drop is due to injury concerns, though I have nothing to prove that. The thought is that he may not reach his ultimate ceiling because injuries - nagging or otherwise - could prevent it.

I lke scout better than rivals, Rivals hires absolute trash for the most part and rivals writers start a ton of crazy untrue rumors.I agree that 247 is the best though.

Scout is without a doubt, the worst and it is not even close.

you're officially retarded if you like Scout's rankings.....they're worse than freakin' ESPN and that's saying something. They're borderline Phil Steele level, MaxPreps, kind of bad.

Phil Steele just averages the ranking of classes and players from several different services.

KK, are you guys thinking about offering Moose Johnson that's committed to UGA?

Not KK, but the only DL we're going after now is Montravius Adams

Never heard of Moose Johnson, honestly.

But no we don't need another DL in this class. We'd only take Adams, Bigelow or Walker.

IMO scout normally has better writers but their rankings are consistently shitty. I still don't get why they give out fifty 5*s

He's just saying they're better than Rivals, which I'm starting to agree with.

247 has definitely become my preference

Wouldn't be so sure that the coaches would take Bigelow FWIW

I'd rather have Monty Adams on board, then go fill other needs. Lawson, Liner, Bowers, and Adams would be a great pull on the defensive line.

Ladarious Owens

Looking quite large.

I think he'll have a breakout year. He looked really good last year before the injury.

And you would be right. Lawson is a little underrated by most, and Liner is a little overrated by most. He's a top 30 prospect, but I'm not sold on him being a 5*. Lawson, on the other hand, might be top 5 in the country at any position imo. People are still putting a little too much emphasis on his perceived lack of height.

'14 CB Kendall Rudolph from Tallahassee will visit this weekend. Has offers from Auburn, FSU, UGA, Miami, among others.

Bryan Matthews said he may add more. He said Tray Matthews is one to watch

He shouldn't leave a popcorn bag on the stove eye. That's dangerous.

Take this fwiw but this is the only thing I've read about foster dropping, not unless I missed something. From BOL Staff:

quote:

Why: Foster, who will make an announcement concerning his recruitment in just a few hours, hasn’t been able to stay healthy during the spring. The growing trend of nagging injuries appears to be getting worse, as he only lasted for one 40-yard dash attempt at The Opening before pulling up with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the rest of the event.
