Here's something cheesy for ya. The shortest distance between Muscle Shoals and AU is a straight Liner. lol sorry.....

Dee Lineris"solid" and people are not too worried about him. Unlike Yeldon whose best friend/friends was a Bama commit, had a solid situation to come into with little competition fresh/soph year and didn't know who an OCord was before he EE, Liner doesn't have those problems. He is a rare AU fan growing up in muscle shoals, supposedly loves BVG and Gene, and our second commit. The situation is completely different on a positive note, for Auburn, concerning external influences.
There are still the people who are afraid of a Yeldon 2.0 but it is a significantly different situation and highly unlikely it happens twice in back to back years. With that said there are always shady things that happen on the recruiting trail (that goes for all teams), so barring BVG orGene leaving or a huge losing season/NCAA sanctions we should be fine
Exceptionally well said!

I really hope we sign JJ for his upside and then get whoever else Loeffler wants at QB. Lord knows we need someone.
Dont think we have the numbers to do that. But JJ might be able to play WR.

Jonathan Wallace = Future Troy Trojan

Actually, with the uncertainty surrounding Pike and the potential for Moseley to transfer (or hang up his pads), it's possible that we could have an unexpected spot for a QB open up. However, you're right that JJ might be able to play receiver, or perhaps even outside linebacker?

I guess that's possible. Probably depends on whether he wants to stay at QB or if he's willing to move to safety. If he's willing to move, he'll stay at Auburn. If he's not, then he might well transfer to Troy if he doesn't win the battle with Pike. Heck, he might transfer anyway if he gets passed on the depth chart by someone from the 2013 class, which I'd say is probably likely.

Glad some appreciates logic on this board. Between the bammers treating secr as tidefans lately and the Auburn fans having absolutely terrible talent evaluations on their own (seriously have any of you even seen a football let alone play in an organized competitive game?) I am getting really sick of coming here.

Should try auburneagle.com. We get a reputation of being sunshine pumpers over here, but if TD isn't your flavor, you might like AE better.

My high school was the only 4A school in the state without a football team but I do own a football and I played 4 years of pee wee football if that counts.

GenesChin > Rivals, Scout, and 247. I wish he would start a scouting service so I could pay him instead of wasting my money on talent evaluators who have never "seen a football let alone played in an organized competitive game."
Half of your posts so far have been dedicated to talking smack about Pike. You obviously have a personal vendetta against the guy for some reason so I have a hard time believing anything you say about him. Yes, he has obviously had some issues in the past, but I'm pretty sure you are exaggerating his douchiness. If it isn't personal, then I'm willing to bet that you weren't happy when Cam signed with us either. And no, I'm not trying to compare Pike to Cam.

I don't remember Brannigan, and he probably used a different screen name while he was there, but the attitude against AE from those who did not fit in for whatever reason is always the same. Blah blah sunshine, blah blah emoticon, blah blah delusional, etc.
The truth is that AE is meant to be different. It's comprised of almost nothing but Auburn fans (we allow non-SEC fans admittance from time to time, so long as they remain reasonable), and as such it represents what Auburn fans think far more than a site like TD, where half the posters have a named favorite that is different from the team they actually pull for. Considering the impression that such things can leave on players, recruits, and their families (and yes, we have some of each who are members), one would think it would be understandable that we try to keep the volatile stuff away.
Again, it's not TD. TD has its place, and I occasionally like to come over and peruse this format of message board. There's nothing wrong with TD.
We're just a little more exclusive, and that gets on certain people's nerves.

I'm sorry, that's just funny dude.

Well, if none of his teammates like him, that could be a problem. Now, maybe no one likes him because he's the superior athlete and has just gotten a little too big a head about it, and playing in college will teach him that he's definitely not in a little pond anymore. That would be great, because like you said, his upside is tremendous.
Still, that's the one thing that gives me pause. Getting kicked out of camp, suspended for a few games, it's not good, but it can be attributed to a kid being a kid. Not getting along with your teammates when you're supposed to be the leader of the team? That's a big deal.
