No worries. As an AU fan, I obviously want him here, but the main reasons are that he and his mom live in Auburn now and Liner, Lawson, Troop and some of his high school teammates (Luper, Taylor) get 9 months to work on him. From all accounts, he's constantly at the athletic complex, and by living there and constantly getting AU drilled in his head by our coaches and our commits, that can't do anything but help. And there are national recruiting analysts saying they think he is AU bound.

I think it'll come down to a close call b/w UGA and AU, but I think AU wins out.

And as far as Foster and Matthews playing together, I'll believe it when I see it (whether it's at UGA or AU). Kids in every class talk about playing together all the time, but at the end of the day, these kids know they can't choose a school based on somebody else. Not saying it can't or won't happen, but I think ppl are putting way too much stock in the package-deal chatter.

Yeah I see what you're saying but this is one of those times where the package deal is a real possibility. Foster loves UGA and almost committed to us last summer before visiting Bama again.

Also him constantly being pushed to AU by players and coaches is not always a good thing. I don't know him personally so I don't know what he's like but he might get sick of them being in his ear all the time.

I'm putting a lot of stock in the fact that he went out of his way to drive Bo to Athens only 2 weeks removed from his last visit. That chimed with his recent statements, our insider intel, and multiple Bama boards writing him off all point to UGA IMO.

I doubt you hear anything this week as the 4th is a time that a lot of staffs take off. Media days is two weeks away and then practice. I would not be surprised where RB goes, but I think be enjoys keeping people guessing. The story may go all tbe way to signing day.

I completely see your point about feeling recruited all of the time, however it's very very obvious he doesn't mind it. I say that because he is literally up at the Auburn Ath Dept building every day, just hanging out with the players and coaches, etc.

Cam's 7 on 7 team included the Berry Twins... LINK
.............. .
The SEC and NFL connections didn't stop there, as playing for Newton's team were twin brothers Elliot and Evan Berry.

If we hang on to Trooper we might be the team to beat for them.

Unless Troop gets a head coaching job, he is not going anywhere... He is making some serious coin at this time, his son will be a Senior NEXT year and is being recruited. He loves Auburn and the Auburn people. Loves Chizik.

I was thinking that too. Good interviewer and that seems to be rare these days. Reminds me of hearing Frazier a bit.

I wonder if this kid will get any credit to being a good player by the end of the year or if he will fly under the radar the whole season.

Sounds like Wilkins is going to take his time with the process, per the new scout article. AU, VU, UT, Mich, Ole Miss are his top five with AU/Vandy at the top.

Not sure if we'll wait on him or not... he's definitely changed his tone from a month ago... of course, some guys say one thing and then do the exact opposite the next week (kinda like carl lawson's commitment).

ETA: quote from article (mississippi guy yancy porter wrote the article)
quote:

Is there a timetable for a decision?

"I wanted to get it over with before the start of my football season, but at the same time I'm not going to rush into a decision. If I'm not ready, which right now I'm not, then I'll just wait until I'm ready."

Why so quick to assume that Auburn didn't tap the breaks, not the other way around? They'll see how some other things play out before accepting his commitment.

Because according to reports the coaches would accept his commitment at any time. With that said you still make a good point, and is certainly possible.

Those "reports" were "reported" prior to the coaches truly understanding where AU stood with those higher on their boards.

Which is why I basically stated you still make a valid point. You and I are not in disagreement here.

The only class of 2013 member on this list, Irvin-Sills represented well for the rising seniors group. He looks like he has filled out since his last recorded measurement of 5-foot-10 and 173 pounds, and he proved he could play press coverage and be physical with bigger receivers. The recovery speed is certainly there if Irvin-Sills gambles and misses at the line of scrimmage; but he plays such a disciplined brand of football, there were few times he was caught out of position on Saturday.
