2013 Prospects visit Auburn for Junior Day
More than 40 prospects from the 2013 class were in Auburn on Saturday for the Tigers' Junior Day.
Among the group were several of the Tigers' top early targets, including two of the state's top receiver prospects, Clay-Chalkville's DeAndre Woods and Pinson Valley's Earnest Robinson. Woods and Robinson helped give the Tigers a strong in-state showing Saturday.
The two receivers were joined by other top in-state targets like McGill-Toolen athlete Jason Smith, Prattville offensive tackle Austin Golson (committed to FSU), Trinity offensive lineman David Gross, Dadeville defensive lineman Rod Crayton and Fultondale athlete ArDarius Stewart.
Woods, Robinson and Golson all had an offer from Auburn prior to Saturday's visit. Smith, the 6-foot-1, 160-pound athlete/quarterback from Mobile, picked up an offer from the Tigers during his visit. Gross, Crayton and Stewart all are receiving heavy interest from Auburn.
The top out-of-state prospects in Auburn on Saturday were Dooly County (Ga.) defensive tackle Montravius Adams and Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) defensive back Nick Washington. Washington already has an offer from Auburn. Adams, 6-foot-3, 290 pounds, received a firm offer from the Tigers during his visit.
Valwood (Valdosta, Ga.) offensive tackle Aulden Bynum, 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, also picked up an offer from the Tigers this weekend, as did Milton (Alpharetta, Ga.) defensive end Carl Lawson.
Other prospects that Auburn is showing interest that attended Junior Day were Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy athlete Jalen Ramsey, Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) defensive end/linebacker Devin Washington (Nick Washington's brother), Milton (Ga.) running back Peyton Barber, Jackson (Ga.) defensive tackle Jay Woods, Enterprise (Ala.) receiver/tight end Clark Quisenberry, Spain Park (Birmingham, Ala.) defensive lineman Jacob Chaffin and Buford (Ga.) offensive guard Josh Cardiello.

Way more, since we didn't have this board until halfway into recruiting for the 2012 class...

Thanks for the list. Any ideas what positions will be a priority or have any ideas how many we will try to take? Sounds like we won't be in the Saban processing scheme.....

I don't even know why I made a thread.

Not this year at least.
I think they would've signed more had they been able to, but since a lot chose to go to other schools, we decided to leave room so we didn't have to process anybody.

I will get involved with this another day. I am taking the time to bask in the greatness of the 2012 class. See you when I'm done.

We might end up offering Cam Luper and Blaise Taylor. Cam Luper is a really good athlete.

If I do, it'll have to be at a later time. The other recruiting thread didn't even have that in it.
To the other guy, I can't see that picture. And it looks like I was right. We only finished with one prospect I didn't see us getting in Avery Young. Everybody else went elsewhere.

Luper's film is pretty good. There's no way he runs a 4.34 though. Maybe he does in the 35 yard dash.

I hope you mean at running back. Dude can't throw worth crap. Our offense has consisted of three plays since he took the starting job:
a) Hand of to the running back
b) Drop back and miss a pass
c) Drop back and be tackled at the line when he tries to run it
Not SEC talent.

Calvin Jenkins was a much better quarterback and he's currently playing at USA.

Of course not at QB!! More like WR or CB....he has SEC talent at those positions

Would not ming having Cam Luper. Would be a good athlete to have, maybe not as qb. If he decides he wants to be at AU, would it not be better to have him walk-on?
