We just offered Jordan Wilkins.
I would take him or Tyshon Dye at this point. They're both around 6'0 and 200 pounds, but I think Wilkins is a little taller and maybe a little heavier. I actually like Wilkins better, and one Auburn insider said that he will probably continue to rise up the board. Not saying Tyshon is a bad player.

Just some stuff leaking out. Michigan coaches visited him recently and told him they want to bring in a guy along with Smith and that they want him to be that guy. With Isaac off the board they'd take Jordan or nobody else, I believe.

The quarterback prospect from Jackson (Miss.) texted me to say he will attend Auburn's Big Cat weekend. Buchanan is working on narrowing down schools and will return to Auburn in early June to camp.
He plans a decision in mid-July.
Update on Ryan Buchanan

And according to Rivals, we haven't even offered yet...

Was reading some AU fans responses to Bryan Matthews post on Cooper Bateman. Some pretty stupid posts. One guy actually asked if Bateman had a commitable offer, and a few other guys said they watched his film and weren't impressed. AU and UF have been out of it for Bateman for well over a month.

Don't get your hopes up on that kid. It has been all about Miami from beginning to the end. Kid will go to Miami, unless they get hammered by the NCAA.

I figured UF would have had a good chance with Pease on staff.

Writing was on the wall with the second visit. UF's depth chart at QB looks like shite right now with Driskel/Brissett both being in the same class. Even though neither has done jack shite, some of these kids still see them as high profile QB's, based on their rankings out of HS.
UF and AU weren't even in Bateman's top 3 (because he didn't have one).

It's like clock work. Our fans are very sore losers especially when the recruit chooses bama.

We all have them. Bateman was all that the LSUrb could talk about for a while and now some are saying he just isnt that good and is not impressive

I like Bateman. Kid has good mental makeup. I think that's so underrated in QBs these days.

Jordan Wilkins
quote:
Wilkins learned the news following a visit from Auburn running backs coach Curtis Luper.
“He watched some film of our scrimmage and he told our coach that, ‘This is the guy we want.’ He offered and wants me to get down and see their campus,” Wilkins said. “I’ve never been down there but from talking to Coach Luper and Coach Trooper Taylor, they’re already one of my top schools.”
quote:
Wilkins, 6-foot-1 and 212 pounds, said playing in the Southeastern Conference is a big plus for Auburn.
“It’s big. It’s a top SEC program and I kind of want to play in the SEC,” he said. “I’m not saying that 100 percent but I’m leaning more toward the SEC right now. I feel like it’s a place I can come in and have immediate playing time.”
quote:
“I definitely want to come down to Auburn,” he said. “That’s probably the No. 1 spot I want to go visit right now. I’m going to try and do that as soon as possible.”

Besides Liner/Foster/Howard who are already committed are there any other recruits Auburn and Alabama are dueling for?

M.Adams and Jason Smith. Idk how hard either team is going after Smith right now though.

I do not see us getting Adams. I dont think he likes the 3-4
