Dammit TT if I wanted to hear complaining I would call up a slit. This is big news. If Matthews moves to Auburn it clearly means our staff are putting their nuts on bama and UGA's heads and are going to flip Foster and Matthews, which would also clearly mean Kamara is coming to Auburn despite Saban sending him eleventy jillion letters in the mail. BELIEVE IN AUBURN AND LOVE IT!!! FAMILY!!! ALL IN!!! YOU'RE NOT BEING ALL IN TT!!!!! ALL AUBURN ALL ORANGE!!!! WHATEVER BULL shite SLOGAN EUGENE OR JAY COME UP WITH NEXT!!!!!

So Foster told our scout guys that there is no chance that he's decomitting from bama but that he's giving auburn and UGA a chance.
I'm not so sure he understands what a chance is.

That's a nice way of saying he won't be rude to them and diss them publicly.

He's just saying enough to keep sabanation off him until he flips to Auburn just before the dead period.

Random question.....was Auburn the youngest team in the country this past season?
Posted on 4/27/12 at 10:27 pm to TheCheshireHog
I think AU was either the youngest or second youngest overall behind TN. I can't quite remember/

We were neck and neck with TN. I think by % of scholarship players TN was the youngest, but by pure number of players we were the youngest. Some shite like that. I think Texas was really young as well IIRC

You guys played like 18-19 freshmen right?

I think we played 16 and 3 other freshmen who would have seen the field got injured. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks. I'm arguing with one of our dumbass fans that hates Gus Malzahn but can't give me a good reason other than canned message board answers that he doesn't actually know if they are true or not. I threw this out there and he thinks I'm just making it up so I just wanted to make sure that I was correct.

From a 2011 article by Phillip Marshall
I believe injuries altered this early report some, but I do not have the info to explain how at this time.
quote:
The depth chart – three-deep at some positions and two-deep at others – includes 17 true freshmen and 10 redshirt freshmen. Only at one wide receiver position, two linebacker positions and one safety position are freshmen or redshirt freshmen not included on the depth chart.

Plus remember the guys who were not young had little to no experience. We started 2 Sr and a Jr along the oline who had a combined total of 4 starts going into the season. Oline as a hole had 11 starts combined for the first game(10, 1,0,0,0). The previous year the oline had over 120 combined starts going into the first game.

I heard Chizik say that 76% of our team as of April 1st was underclassmen. 76% !!!!
Just damn.

Yeah. I read in an article a couple days ago (on al.com) that we are actually younger (% of underclassmen) this year than we were last year. Hard to imagine
