Just a random thought, but why in the world is Ryan Buchanan not rated higher? The more I watch his film and read about him, the more impressed I am. The kid can sling it and his mechanics look really solid. I still like Bateman more, but this kid is close…

I watched the first 2 minutes of that video. It does look like he can throw a pretty long pass, but several of those passes could use some more zip. It looks like he stares down his receivers too. Both of those issues can be corrected.
Maybe they are considering level of competition (I don't know what division Jackson Prep is in) or maybe its just a really strong year for QBs.

I think Brantley had the talent, but was ruined by 3 different OC's at UF.

Kid just isn't that good. His frame was maxed out his SR year of HS, and he sucks in coverage. Combine that with his inability to shed blocks with his midget arms, and you have an extremely average/below average LB.
